If men EVER bothered to have a decent profile of course I would message first if they caught my eye. Unfortunately MOST are just soo shite with a lack of pictures yet come to the forum bemoaning the fact of their 'lack of luck' look at home first before you start moaning about the lack of success on here, the clue is almost always there!  |

I get a fair few opening messages from women. I think the key is to not be pushy and just chat to people as you would anywhere else. I never turn the conversation to sex unless it’s obvious that’s what the lady is after. |

If they don't I ain't messaging them. I've found messaging simply doesn't work and only adds to the piles in women's inboxes. So they pretty much have to at least wink at me for anything to happen. If they don't. And I don't. Then nothing happens on here for me. I'm fine with that  |

Sometimes I let them know that their fantastic composition of their photos have inspired me to take better pictures of myself.
I expect nothing more, nothing less. I've made some great friends on Fab this way.
Sometimes I get a DEATHLY silence, which can make me laugh sometimes. And, sometimes they even attend the same social... And disappear pretty quickly!

I stopped msging woman on here a couple of years ago unless it's forum related. Guess I'm just to proud to scramble round for crumbs and I refuse to be the normal sad single male on here and in answer to the question yes some women do but it's rare.  |

Yes OP, women do message first and fortunately this has happened often with me. You don't have to be an Adonis but your profile has to be appealing and put out a good vibe. Sadly, yours needs a lot of work to stand out from the crowd.
You didn't ask for profile advice, however whining and complaining in your profile text does you no favours. Be engaging. Use the forums, participate, leave a good impression and emphasize your strengths and who knows....you may find a message in your inbox some time. |

I do that as well. They don't necessarily have to be sexually attractive. If they have really great pictures and a profile, I will drop a note to say it's really nice.
Sometimes I let them know that their fantastic composition of their photos have inspired me to take better pictures of myself.
I expect nothing more, nothing less. I've made some great friends on Fab this way.
Sometimes I get a DEATHLY silence, which can make me laugh sometimes. And, sometimes they even attend the same social... And disappear pretty quickly!

Yes, most of my meets have been from women messaging first.
It’s a compliment as women get plenty of messages, so the fact my profile pic/profile has stood out enough for them to message me, means a lot |

Ladies do message first, if they have something that they want to message about or want to say. It may not always be about meeting and rarely if ever about sex but yes it does happen.
