Why do people put no Blacks or Asians then feel the need to state they are not racist ?? Is it some sort of site requirement to put this, or is everyone that isn’t into blacks or Asians considered racist if they don’t ? |

Simply because black or Asian guys don't excite them. It's a preference it has nothing to do with racism. I only meet black or mixed raced guys. White guts do nothing for me.... does that mean I'm racist..... |

Because they have a right to choose who they meet and who they don't. I would meet a black guy but not an Asian guy because Asian guys do not turn me on. Am I racist? |

And me. It seems like people are just out for a racist argument, and for them threads like this are a starting point |

The first black people arrived with the Romans as far as we know. Possibly earlier. |

Yeh each to their own of course, I just thought it an odd statement which seems repeated word for word on many profiles, bit like the pic disclaimer a lot of people like to add to the end of their profiles?? |

How about if you're not into black guys or Asian. Then just put caucasian only?. Why put no blacks?. I find the wording highly offensive |

That's okay for you. We're all different. It's why the world is a wired but amazing place. Who said justifying anything?. I said the wording, not who they should or shouldn't like. They like who they like as i do. But i do think how i word things. For example on my profile I say i'm not into the larger people if fab. If not for thinking of others and how they y feel. I'd have put no fat people,or no fatties etc. See my point..some that would offend and some not,but quite sure it would offend more than it wouldn't. #JustSaying |

I've always wondered this, stating 'no blacks, no asians' has a negative connotation, reminiscent of the 'no blacks, no Irish, no dogs' notices in guest house windows from the 50's & 60's.
Stating you only wish to meet Caucasians doesn't have the same malodorous whiff to it. |

..but some people who express the preference are racists, and are perfectly entitled to be so, just as others are entitled to comment without fear of being accused of using the 'racist argument'. |

Fair point
When I do see that in the profile I have the things that make you go hmm ..” moment, but due to the deeper possible connotation behind some of the reasons of such a comment being written in the 1st place I’ve closed off a certain part my reasoning as not to feed into it, so not to give a particular mindset the fuel just in case it is coming from a negative place |

True. Not saying i'd message them to have a rant. Just don't like it as i've been racially abused and that's what they used to say. "See those blacks over there". So when I see it now,it's obvious what i'd think and nowhere in 2018 is that of wording seen acceptable acceptable in my humble opinion |

Because, like you, they have choices, preferences and the ability to express them.
If people spent more time making themselves happy with what concerns their own lives and less time concerning themselves with other people's preferences, choices, fantasies, fetishes, kinks etc, then the human race would exist in greater harmony I'm sure.
If something doesn't affect your life, don't question others choices, by doing so you simply create an issue where non existed previously. The issue is yours alone, so why do it? There's a lot to be said for the saying, 'mind your own business'.

If someone puts something that you construe as racist on their profile, just block and move on.
The chances of educating them that their status/profile is offensive in the 21st Century is an argument you won't win and a complete waste of time.
Having a sexual preference based on skin colour is the same as having a sexual preference based on waist size. We all have things that do and don't float your boat.
How you articulate that preference is the issue.
If you say you don't like fatties, you look like a twat. If you say I prefer a slender figure, you don't.
Not forgetting of course that there are people behind the profiles so be nice.
No need to be a twat, that's my job. |

Personally I'm attracted to the aura of a person, it doesn't matter what race or sex they are... if they're attractive, they're attractive. How do you even know until you've met someone in real life? Makes no difference to me. |

Generally, these people are racist and mask it using the classic 'preference' defense.
Load of shit. How about politely and quietly deleting the messages of those you don't fancy? Screaming 'I only see xyz' on your profile with regards to race....is racist.

Yeah I don’t get the “I’m not racist” comment.
Anyone with half a brain cell knows having a preference isn’t racist so there’s never any need to put a “I’m not a racist” disclaimer on your profile.
However there are some people on here who’d be quick to call you a racist C U Next Tuesday just because of a preference. They’re very wrong! |

A lot of the people who have it in their profile will be racist. Let's not assume that everyone on Fab wears a halo. Racism is still unbelievably common in the UK, I come across it fairly regularly working in construction.

It may be a view you could make about black women who are only looking for 'BBC', that they're ignorant in objectifying black men and some indeed may be racist.
I don't think anyones suggesting all people who express a racial preference are racists. |

Ok, so why does it offend you? You're white, so it isn't aimed at you, so you're 3rd party offended. It is directly aimed at my wife, she reads it and says. Damn they were nice, or we wouldn't have been on the profile. And moves on not a single hair offended. Because no offence was intended, so honestly, you don't need to be offended
And that isn't meant to be a dig, just a statement of fact, white people are so much more bothered about unintended racism not directed at them than black people.
Now deliberate racism is different, but that is now often lost in this call to arms the second somebody writes black. But being hurt because somebody doesn't want sex is not a battle to care about. |

That is true, but isn't it sad something as simple as who you want sex with has to be so over thought.
I'm not over thinking, it's a statement that hits me smack between the eyes!
Ps incidentally I've absolutely no problem with who anyone wants to have sex with or their reasons for their preferences even if they're racist ones.
" exactly this |

..err the last time I looked I was very black, perhaps you should read our profile, it can be either of us that posts from it.
Besides which no-one is excluded from expressing an opinion irrespective of what colour they are as you've no idea what their personal experiences have been. |

Lol, sorry my mistake, I didn't even look at your profile at all, just the tiny pic . And I can honestly say in my experience youre a first.
And yes, personal experiences change opinions, I still think a sexual preference is a ridiculous thing to get worked up about, now being stared at and whispered about because you've taken a black girl into your village coop is a whole different issue and a darn site more important. Imo. |

Well as I've said previously, Im not getting worked up about people's sexual preferences, in fact I'm not getting worked up at all!
Mine was a discreet observation on how preferences are communicated!

Because they have a right to choose who they meet and who they don't. I would meet a black guy but not an Asian guy because Asian guys do not turn me on. Am I racist?"
I think op’s point was not that they choose to only meet certain people but that they then put the sentence, I’m not racist, it’s just a preference |

"But what about all the white guys like me who want to fuck black women - is that racist? "
In case you wonder wtf is he talking about, I meant that to express a preference is not always easy without causing offence but the I am not racist tag shouldn’t be used - it’s just lazy and picked up from other site users as it seems like an easy expression of intent whereas it carries far more weight amongst people of colour |

Funny how I'm accused of being racist when I say no thanks to anyone non caucasian. Colour has nothing to do with it as far as I'm concerned, they just didn't match my preferences for age, distance, accommodation and marital status. Simple as that. |

I'd say most people don't start off with the "I'm not racist bit "... but over time after a few messages they may add it.. after being accused of being racist.
I turned down numerous guys last week just because I'm not looking to meet. And the two really shitty messages back were from to guys of Pakistani back ground who because I said no thanks not for me. Called me racist...
Some people just love to be offended..
To be fair previous profiles I have had white guis only on my profile but couldn't be bothered with it this time. Because I found it got me more shitty messages telling me I should try "insert colour here " or what a racist cow I was. So this time when I'm meeting I will just say thanks not for me.
To be fair while I'm meeting socially only it doesn't count as it's only sexually I have any preferences |

Is that what I said? That’s a huge reach.
You can UNDERSTAND, anything and everything by listening to people and their experiences.
However getting offended on behalf of others or getting offended by something that doesn’t concern you is completely foolish.
Take Ba Ba Black Sheep for example, a white council inspector was so offended by the song being offensive to black people & compared it to slavery, he called for it to be banned.
Black parents themselves called this ridiculous & said the song wasn’t offensive at all, so his report was scrapped. Why was this white man getting offended by something that doesn’t concern him?
You can *understand* others, but if I were to take offence to say a derogatory word used to describe a white person, that would be dumb. I’m not a white person so I have no reason to be offended however I can *understand* why a white person may be offended.
Get it? |

I completely 'get it' and explained my reasoning by way of analogy.
You may have missed my earlier contributions, but I said previously that people are entitled to articulate whatever racial preference they choose even if it's enshrined in racist beliefs.
Equally people are entitled to contribute to threads of this nature without fear of being denounced simply because they're not members of a particular group. |

The problem with “no blacks/asians” is that you’re literally disregarding a whole race(s) as if they A.) all look the same and B.) All have similar attributes and qualities. This is racism.
I’d also maybe dig a little deeper and wonder why you find white people the only acceptable form of beauty. Probably because until very recently we’d mostly only see white models in beauty and fashion adverts. |

Because people are all here to meet their own preference, some can word it that sounds racist,it doesn't mean they are
For e.g. my profile dosent mention I don't play with white guys I don't feel the need to mention it in my bio,I called myself Adores Blackmen as a clue to what I am looking for,it dosent mean I'm racist,I just know exactly what I want
I have a fair few white guys on my friends list I've met at parties and enjoyed their company socially.
Some people just use the race card when it excludes them |

It’s a preference to let them know they don’t find that kind of person attractive, I suppose it just saves time so they do not message them. Maybe they add they are not racist because they are not. It’s just a preference that’s all.

Yep, move on to those that don't exclude you and stop whinging about those that do. Better to know you've no chance upfront than spend seconds copying and pasting a message that'll just get deleted/ignored.
Just one thing though: Those of you that say stating "No blacks or Asians" is just a preference; Can you at least acknowledge that racists do actually exist in the cyber world of Fab and that SOME of them make it clear they only want to have sex with those of their own race? |

For me, seeing “No Blacks or Asians” saves me me the time and effort of writing them a considered, well written message. I just make a note of their preference and move on.
Are the people saying it racists? Not all of them, no. But some, will be as we don’t live in an ideal society where racists have all of a sudden disappeared.
I wouldn’t even read too much into it. I’ve seen profiles saying “No Blacks or Asians”, only to find out weeks/months later that they’ve met Black/Asian guys for meets. Gives me a little chuckle.
So preferences can change.

But that's exa tly because it's a preference. Our profile says preferably non Caucasian women. That doesn't mean if a coupe or single with an attractive white girl in it messages us we'll so no out of hand. We'll check the profile and if the pictures attract we'll quite possibly meet. The same with black guys, my wife has played with black guys for various reasons at clubs. It still doesn't change our preferences so they stay on our profile. |

This has been discussed loads before. Seems to come down to the same things.
People started without stating they weren’t racist, got abusive messages and then start feeling they had to state it.
And to say “no black and Asian” is racist, to me, on this site is massively hypocritical. This site massively leans towards the BBC fetish.
On a previous discussion on this subject I took the type to look at the ratio of those profiles in my search area stating “BBC only”, “black only”, “no white, black only” compared to the “no black no Asian”.
It was around 10:1
It seems while the preferences are in some people’s favour they’re very happy with the situation. |

It might be more accurate to say 'some black or Asian males'.
Most of the black men I know through this lifestyle have a real understanding of how it works, are attentive and respectful in order to achieve their objectives.
I stopped actively seeking new people because I got fed up of being abused by white couples I declined to meet because I believed they were trivialising me as a human being and didn't think they needed to show me the same respect I was showing to them. |

"How about...
Stating what you do want, rather than what you don’t.
It’s how I did it.
More positive I think!
This
And to be honest plenty of profiles probably protest the whole "not racist" point just a little too much"
They doth protest too much! |

If you dislike something so strongly that you feel the need to state it then I think you deffo have some kind of problem.
There’s tons of people I’m not into (90% of people on here tbh. I’m too fussy) but I don’t feel the need to openly state it. |

Disagree.
By putting your preferences in your profile you massively decrease the messages you’ll get from people who are not your preference, doesn’t mean anyone has a problem.
People are entitled to state what they like on their profiles, for those who read profiles it may just stop them messaging and wasting their time. |

On a previous discussion on this subject I took the type to look at the ratio of those profiles in my search area stating “BBC only”, “black only”, “no white, black only” compared to the “no black no Asian”.
It was around 10:1
Where do you live, Africa?!
"
So I just had a look through my local area, first few pages.
There were only 5 profiles mentioning race. 4 looking for black only, 3 of which were very much around the BBC fetish.
1 asking for Caucasian only.
I can’t be arsed to trawl through more pages, but this small sample shows a 4;1 ratio of black to white preference, with the only negatively worded examples being pro black.
Obviously this isn’t a statistically significant example, as I would have to spend way to much time reviewing profiles.
But this is the pattern I’ve seen over the years I’ve been on here.
Personally I’m totally with comments made above that the biggest racial issue on this site is the objectification and fetishisation of black men.
Both for the fact it reduces them to mere sexual objects and the fact as many have stated on the dozens of posts about the subject, it does create an environment that white guy feel rejected.
Fact is we all have our preferences, that’s 100% natural and healthy. But it’s how some of these preferences have been fetishised and popularised is unhealthy.
It’s no different to how girls have been made to feel about the fetishisation if skinny girls.
The skinny girls massively buy into it, that has created eating disorders etc
The non-skinny girls feel rejected and reduced self image.
When we focus on one aspect of a person, both sides of that coin get affected negatively. |

That's a relevant point, it isn't statistically significant nor does it necessarily support your view.
Clearly the people who feel strongly about a racial preference will say so, however the vast majority of profiles don't reference it all but that doesn't mean they would or wouldn't meet non Caucasians.
They might not want to meet Blacks/Asians but feel it's impolite to say so, conversely they might be rabid for black men but don't want to put off the white ones! |

A lot of people seem to think that they deserve respect but the other person doesn't. |

It’s doesnt go against my point at all, my point was, of those who mention a racial preference, those stating “no black or Asian” is by far in the minority, compared with those who say “no white”.
The majority of people on here don’t care about colour.

..and that's really my point, the 'evidence' you provided doesn't demonstrate that one way or another, you're simply extending a preconception based on a sample who might have good reasons to state the preference.
To use analogy, I'd say 90% of members I've seen who mention BDSM on their profiles do so positively, that doesn't mean that it's enjoyed by 90% of the general membership or they're ambivalent about it. |
