"I'm sure most will say Aphrodite, but I'd prefer the wisdom of Athena " Honestly, I am actually expecting it to be filled with the standard predictable answers. Good answer

"I'm sure most will say Aphrodite, but I'd prefer the wisdom of Athena " Definitely Athena. Wisdom, a warrior, keeper of justice, defying the expected role of women (story of the origin of Athenians). And olives!

"Blodeuwedd was a woman made out of flowers and often associated as the goddess of spring in welsh mythology" Such a lovely answer and not the expected usual ones. Well suited to you as well.

"Has to be mighty Zeus; He had a voice like Brian Blessed to I’ll bet " He was also an almighty irredeemable twunt (he was real!) just like most gods to be honest.

"I'd probably have a go at being the god of the Bible. I could do everything, be an utter shit and still have people worship me, especially those Americans. Could be interesting. Luke " You'd also be the God of the Torah and Qu'ran.

"It's quite comical actually. Most people pick a god based on 1 or 2 things. Ares, god of war. Loki God of mischief etc Then you actually look in to each god a bit more and find they are gods of many things. Like apollo, God of music, poetry, arts, oracles, archery, herds and flocks, diseases, healing, light, sun, knowledge and protection of young. That's a pretty broad list of things. Then on top of that, the stories of these gods are far from godlike. Most of them were (again they were real!) top of the pile, grade a twunts and far from nice beings. " The Greek idea (it's the one I know) of fame, or being a hero, wasn't just about doing great things. It was about doing things that were remarkable, whether good or bad. The idea that gods should be admirable rather than petty dictators that need placating is one that's taken hold in the west through Christianity.

They're far more rounded characters as none of them are perfect

But for those that don't really know much beyond that they are the "gods" and the front and center ones like Zeus, Ares, Athena, Odin, Thor, Loki etc I do wonder if they would align themselves with their chosen God. That's just a general observation, not formed from what is on this thread, only enforced and enhanced by it.

" The reason I loved classics was that they were such knobbers at times. They were petty and vindictive, squabbling like children. The biggest takeaway from A level classics (other than the fact that Xerxes' mother was Atossa, a fact that will never not make me laugh) is that no human woman should ever fuck Zeus. It won't end well for her.
