I get that when you see someone you like your eager to send a message but try and remember the person behind the profile is real. Treat them as you would if you me them in real life. Turn offs for me are asking if I want to meet or fuck in the first few messages. Guys who ask questions that are already answered on my profile. Basically for me if you wouldn't say it to my face in real life then don't say it here.
So what turns you off in messages ? |

Urgh, when I get a message (fuck all other comms before this) telling me all the things they want to do to me. Despise that.
You want this? With a cock pic attached
So many things. Most of which show lack of respect and the "you're no more than a vagina" mindset |

When they ask me what I'm wearing.
When they ask me what I'm into.
When they send me a little story that's as dull as fuck and you think 'Christ is that the best you can come up with'.
When they say 'How's you?'
When they attach a cock they are obviously proud of and ask if you want it.
When they send you an action shot.
I feel sorry for the single guys sometimes!! |

Hi, I would love to fuck you while your husband watched.
Would you mind if I paid you for sex, please don’t take offence, it’s just my thing!
Would you consider selling me some of your used panties?
We usually reply to these type of messages now with a reply saying, sorry this is a fake profile set up as a research project for Sydney University. |

People demanding things. I once had a couple ask me for meet. Yes they asked me a single guy lol. However, they demanded the first meet to be a social only. Fair enough. Except they lived a 6 hour drive from me. I am sorry but now way am I driving 6 hours for social. |

It really irritates me when first message asks for my plans for the rest of the day or the weekend! It’s not something you ask strangers you meet in the street so why is it ok to ask in first message ?? Asking if I’m free later. Also asking what I’m after when it is more than clear to those who actually read my profile . Think guys sometimes get so excited they see you online and shoot with first stupid line that comes to their mind |

Why would I say that to a woman on the street?
The last conversation I had with a woman on the street was telling her that she'd left her eggs on the roof of her car as she was backing out of her space.
I'll often send a short message for my first message, so they can read my profile and decide if they want to chat more. I'm not going waste my time on a short essay, nor am I going to fall over myself to entertain people. You are messaging strangers, not your best mate. |

We've a few dislikes. People who use text speak, that clearly haven't read our profile, crude or porn talk and those that have you saying to yourself "how old are you"
The latter for us demonstrates how juvenile the mindset of many here are.
We like a good laugh as much as the next guy, but really a act your age. If you can't message without being an over familiar clown, what makes you think we're happy to sit in a pub and subject ourselves to it.

On the rare occasion a woman messages first it's usually "hey how are you?" Or just "Hi."
Women are pretty crap at the first message thing yet they expect the guy to come up with a world-class first message. |

My first messages aren't like that at all. Mine contain actual sentences that make sense, references to things and sometimes something humorous.
If the receiver doesn't like my message, oh well, it means I wasn't for them, and in turn, they wouldn't have been for me.
Oh and I hate to break it to ya, but it's a high probability that those women sending those first messages.... were men. |

Yeah sure. You would know that how? Anyways... Who says I was talking just about this site? I've been on plenty of other sites over the years and a lot of the time women do send generic boring first messages. That's not to say they're necessarily boring if you get in a conversation with them, although a lot of the time they are. A lot of women on dating sites also have a crap profile as they know they don't need to make much effort as they'll still get a constant influx of messages from men (if they look half-decent.) |

I didn't say it was 100% men sending those messages, I said a high probability. I'd like to think that a lot of women who've been on the receiving end of the shit ones, would take a little care in making sure they sent something with some substance. |

You so I personally wouldn't, I need to have conversation to get to know the person I meet and say for example you were to message me because you liked my profile, the likelihood of you seeing my reply zero probably, I just don't go anywhere near the popular women on this site it's like banging your head against a brick wall..... Because everyone knows men will just look at the pics and think "ooh she's not bad looking" and message her anyway. Personally I much prefer if a woman has some info about her so it makes her look more interesting and it gives me something to work with if I decide to message her.
And still don't know why you think it's a "high probability" that there's loads of men on these sites pretending to be women so they can message men. Because they're gay and want a cock pick? Nah, rarely happens.
The ones to look out for are the fakes that after their first message send you a link to some dodgy website or tell you to email them. |

I ain't that popular, I'm just in an area where there are lots of members and a lot of the men spam mail all the ladies online at that time that are relatively local in the hope to catch a fish.
I do read some messages, mainly if it's from a forum thread, as you can tell by the title if it is.
I doubt I'll read many today as I know I'm in a mood, so it will only serve as me using a sharp tongue (which I find therapeutic when I'm due on, but today really won't be a good idea) |

Because they're pricks who get a kick out of winding people up. For shits n giggles.
Not all obviously, but there are plenty. |

yes but think about your message statistics for a minute on the basis of your 528 messages 100 more than yesterday and none read so absolutely no point messaging. You so I personally wouldn't, I need to have conversation to get to know the person I meet and say for example you were to message me because you liked my profile, the likelihood of you seeing my reply zero probably, I just don't go anywhere near the popular women on this site it's like banging your head against a brick wall..... Pointless "
Yeah this is true. Most of the time your message doesn't get read or the woman will just delete it as she's on a deleting spree. I don't bother messaging women on here much now. Prefer the forum I think |

A lot of women on dating sites also have a crap profile as they know they don't need to make much effort as they'll still get a constant influx of messages from men (if they look half-decent.)
Yet those men still message the women with crap profiles. Who's the mug?
I have on mine that I rarely read messages and am currently sitting on 528 unread. 100 more than yesterday. I ain't gonna get bent out of shape and start a thread about women being rude, not replying or even reading messages. If they wanna waste their time then so be it.

I ain't that popular, I'm just in an area where there are lots of members and a lot of the men spam mail all the ladies online at that time that are relatively local in the hope to catch a fish.
I do read some messages, mainly if it's from a forum thread, as you can tell by the title if it is.
I doubt I'll read many today as I know I'm in a mood, so it will only serve as me using a sharp tongue (which I find therapeutic when I'm due on, but today really won't be a good idea)" No area is any more popular than any other and 528 messages in anybodies book makes you popular, I get the forum message thing but if messages are flying into your message box at a rate of knots even they get swallowed up in the pile |

My 2 most memorable first messages were:
1. (From a lady) Hi, you are hot, would you like some of this? Just had a meet and still horny - attached was a picture of her multiple pierced very unattractive vagina that had just taken an internal cum load.
2. (From a male) Hi, I know you are straight but would you mind taking a shit on my table and making me eat it in front of my boyfriend.
Very quickly found the block and filters.. |

"On the rare occasion a woman messages first it's usually "hey how are you?" Or just "Hi."
Women are pretty crap at the first message thing yet they expect the guy to come up with a world-class first message. "
They are probably men masquerading as women |

Yep that's right lol. Think women are getting offended that other women can be boring and/or a weirdo. |

"It really irritates me when first message asks for my plans for the rest of the day or the weekend! It’s not something you ask strangers you meet in the street so why is it ok to ask in first message ?? Asking if I’m free later. Also asking what I’m after when it is more than clear to those who actually read my profile . Think guys sometimes get so excited they see you online and shoot with first stupid line that comes to their mind
Maybe if women messaged more....
When I message I usually pick something about them from their profile and start a conversation about that. "
I do that all the time and it never works so it doesn't matter much.
If it works it works. |

"I get that when you see someone you like your eager to send a message but try and remember the person behind the profile is real.
So what turns you off in messages ?"
I got a first-time message yesterday from a guy telling me i was not real.
How peculiar, I thought. I didn't bother replying.

Aww! I have a soft spot for those. We all use fab for different things and in different ways. Plus their answers hint to whether they are positive or negative people.
Maybe I’m just shit at conversation. |
