"Nothing, because we don't have a Lidl near here, which makes me feel slightly despondent, and when I go on holiday I only book accommodation within a 10 minute drive of a Lidl."
😂 Is that a filter on Booking.com? If it isn't, it should be |

"My ex bought a unicycle. One and only time he has stepped foot in that store
‘Ex for a reason’
I've got a unicycle "
The unicycle was way, way down the list of reasons as to why he's now the ex ![](/icons/s/biggrin.gif) |

"I'm more of an Aldi man myself and always managed to resist the temptations of the middle aisle. I have recently noticed some doughnut mold trays that I'm trying to resist buying "
I prefer an Aldi but my local one was torn down and block of luxury flats build in its place ![](/icons/s/rolleyes.gif) |

Haha thank you for the fab, I was going to get the matching t-shirt and sliders but my kids threatened to never be in public with me again haha maybe this summer if they bring them back |

Isn't that the main reason for having children? To embarrass them? |

"a scuba diving torch has been down to 40m great piece of kit for a fraction of the cost of similar one from dive shop that flooded at 20 m"
I love that. Who knew that there was such demand for scuba equipment in Market Harborough?! |

The best thing I've bought as an aldi special buy is a knock off kitchen aid mixer that also doubles as a meat grinder. It's brilliant and half the price of a kitchen aid. Big, sturdy, lots of attachments. Great for baking. |

"Duct tape
Endless adhesives
Wireless soldering irons
Screws. Endless endless packs of screws
Rope
Are you planning on killing someone and disposing of the body??!! "
If he is he forgot to buy the pack of cable ties from there ![](/icons/s/biggrin.gif) |

Aldi used to be great- not so good now. Have previously gone to my local a few times for bread or milk and returned with a set of triple ladders, a work platform/scaffold and a nest of tables.
Latest thing from Lidl is a car creeper that converts in to a stool...probably use the stool more than the creeper though ![](/icons/s/biggrin.gif) |

Yeah putting your purchases through the checkout is a bit like being on the Generation Game (for those of you old enough to remember that programme ) |

"Can't think of a random item I bought in Lidl, but have loads of Parkside tools.Friend bought Lidl trainers."
Lidl trainers look like the sort of footwear contestants on Fun House in the 90's would've wore which is fine as it makes me nostalgic |

The worst bit with the ladder and the tower, on both occasions i walked there as it was only about 1/4 mile from my house. As they were both the last one in stock i had to buy them and then carry the heavy awkward buggers home in the packaging...along with the bread/milk i'd gone for in the first place. Plus side, still use both about 10 years later |

We've all been there! Along with trying to fit the IKEA flat packs in the car and realise that the boot won't close so you spend the next hour rearranging everything! |

"I saw a vibrator in middle isle of aldi once"
I think they preferred to use the word "massager" However Aldi also had what they called a "pet paw cleaner" that had a startling resemblance to a Fleshlight cock sleeve |
