No, I can’t proudly say I haven’t seen a single episode since the first series.. I find it annoying, so I’m now nailing my ball sack to the kitchen table, with an hammer and rusty nail … I find that more entertaining |

"It amuses me greatly that so many people would come onto a thread to say that hate this programme. What’s the point? "
Can't say i hate it, but i've never really watched it tbh
Don't find James Corden funny at all |

Oh, so original and edgy. And I don't mean the show.
It was decent, they were limited in how they could end it. A happy ending is the safe option, it's what people generally wanted to see. It went out on a high, it has always been a show about the feels and it did it well.
Trying to throw a curve ball (another) would have given it the "worst finale ever" vibes like a lot of shows.
Only one tight knit show I've seen that has done a "sad" finale well for me has been Season 2 of Skins. |

"What the fuck happened on that bloody fishing trip haha
It was NEVER going to be revealed "
Because they never intended to, and at this point no clue how to do it justice, especially without potentially crossing a line and setting off either triggers or some sort of censor.
Though it's pretty obvious the safe option is they huddled up together likely naked because clothes were wet.
Not exactly funny and I expect as I said above would receive flak for making a bit of a joke of 2 men being naked together. |

I think it could of been a "bit better" personally, giving it about a 7/10.
Beginning good
Old humour back again - good
Stag/hen parties - went flat, that could have been a lot better
Wedding part- could have showed more of her demanding, mean ways
Walked away from wedding - good
Fell flat again
Obvious happy ending
Needed a bit more Nessa and Smithy antics and 🌽 on the cobs 🤣🤣

I hated the wedding being stopped like that. Esp hated smithys over the top earnestness. That isnt his character really and if you say well he grew up then wtf didnt sheridan smiths character?
The series is called Gavin and Stacey - i wanted them to be the focus. Turning nessa and smithy into the main romance was just boring for me. Angry bryn annoying. Dave coaches annoying for him to get with gwen - pure plot convenience |

Aside from the highs and lows of the plot and charachters, I have to say I do enjoy the Welsh colloquialism, they get that spot on!
I spent a little time living in Barry a few years back, so spent half the time last night going, "Oh look, that's...." every time they changed location! |

"Corden. No.
I hope those that wanted to see it enjoyed it though. "
Yeah, he’s really annoying isn’t he.
It was a bit like watching only fools and horses or benny hill it was mildly funny but it’s well past its sale by date now. And way too long. |

It was lovely, if you have not watched the previous episodes you won't fully understand, as to the fishing trip I am sure Bryn had a very sore bum the next day. It was all good simple entertainment that gave us many laughs. |

You know the bit in the club... where the stag do is lame and they have the "what are we doing/too old for this shit" moment.
That's age 38-42...you settle or put up with things you shouldn't... then you get an awakening..sometimes a midlife crisis or whatever.
Also a way to tell everyone that Gavin and Stacey has reached its conclusion, they're all older and time to move on. |
