Ey up good folks 😃👍🏻
Happiness is of course both situational and often transient.
Often we may cite our childhoods as the happiest times of our life wherein we were blissfully innocent and nonchalantly ignorant, yet to experience the stark and often seemingly unforgiving nature of reality and the stresses and anguish it frequently entails.
My question for you all is simple:
Has there ever been a time in your ADULT life wherein you have been COMPLETELY happy in every area/aspect of your life?

Every day is made up of ups and downs, the trick is to focus on enough of the happy times to tip the balance in favour of the positive.
So to answer your question, I'm never completely happy in every aspect of my life but I'm always completely grateful for the happy times I have. |

Yes, there have been long and short stretches in my adult life where I’ve been completely happy. Oozing happiness in all areas of life would be the best way to describe it. |

Yes - early 30s. I had two young kids , had just started buying a house and got a very interesting job as a KTP associate and started a masters degree, great partner, we we’re absolutely skint but everything felt great. |

It’s taken the best part of nearly 65years but I’d say that I am at my happiest and most content stage of life.
Nothing is ever completely perfect but this is probably the nearest it gets to it. |

This, however often or infrequent, that really is as good as it gets |

Yes, the day I brought a brand new child 2 back home from the hospital. Child 1 had just sung Twinkle Twinkle into the moses basket, my husband and I were blissfully happy together, we were content in our jobs. It was perfect.
Two days later Child 1 realised Child 2 was here to stay forever and stopped speaking to me for a month. He wasn't even 3 years old! We're friends again now, though. |

Probably 18 to about 21. Not a care in the world, minimal bills to pay and my only worry was the hangover on a Sunday morning.
I’d love to be able to say when my kids were born but we moved house the same day my first was born which was very stressful and then covid hit shortly after my second was born. |

I was reasonably happy at university, although there's so much about that time I'd do differently now.
Also, I find this idea of automatic childhood happiness baffling. You are made to live within adult rules you don't understand and to go to school with other kids you may not like and under the arbitrary authority of teachers who might not deserve that authority. |

I don't understand that notion either. I was a little ball of anxiety as a child. Being an adult is far easier. |

I absolutely HATED childhood. I was very briefly happy with every part of my existence in about 2014 - I had just bought my first house on my own, treated myself to a new car, started a relationship with a hot woman who lived sex, and was really enjoying my work.
I’ve since sold the house and car, moved roles and stopped seeing the woman |

Alicante, Spain. (Sometimes in Wales) |
I’m sitting naked in the hot sun.
There’s a great view all around me.
Very little traffic passing.
I’ve just finished swimming in my own pool.
I’ve got a house full of good food, wine and beer.
I have good health, especially as I’ve gone back to daily training in earnest.
I’ve got five different trips away between now and Christmas.
BUT ……
The woman I love is half a continent away and the earliest I can sweep her into my arms is December.
What’s it all for if I can’t share it with her? It makes it much harder to enjoy, that’s for sure!!

For me it’s very difficult - truthfully to define …
If your that glass half full person it’s a natural disposition to be more upbeat and more optimistic like me
But …. Does it come down to waking up in the morning alive and looking forward to the day and challenges ahead with out panic !
I wonder if -all the ducks can be lined up to equate to happiness if one ‘s life has more complications the more ducks need to be lined up - and therefor the more difficult not attain
Simpler is the better route for happiness then its easier to attain

My childhood was a shit show so unfortunately no happy memories, well very few.
My adult life there's been times when I'm happy, times when I'm not so happy, it's just life.
Right now things are good, could they be better of course but I'm happy with what I have.
