I've been wearing glasses for years and years but I suppose until recently I never put much thought into wearing them or not, also my wife likes my glasses.
But I was recently at an event and think I must have been the only male wearing them which would suggest either everyone is 20:20 or much more likely a lot more people wearing contacts compared to a non swinging event.
So I've myself booked it to try contacts at the weekend.
Am I imaging things or is it just down to practicality when it comes down to swinging and glasses (having to take them off etc isn't ideal) so more people have contacts.

I’ve recently had to start wearing my glasses to use my phone. It’s such a ball ache and onerous. I hate it. But I don’t need glasses all the time so contacts aren’t a possibility.
I dread the day I have to wear them more permanently, as I also don’t think I could use contacts as hate having to put anything into my eyes. Shudders.
Hope you are happy with whatever outcome you go for, OP. I think glasses can look sexy on people so it wouldn’t faze me either way on someone else. Although if they take them off and then turn around groping to try and find me in the bedroom that might be rather amusing! |

I think it's more a practical thing, contacts mean not having them steam up, not forgetting where you've placed them, having someone break them.
I wear glasses. Find them sexy on others. I don't wear contacts but I do glasses free at socials. Most of the time anyway.
For one I don't recognise people unless they're close so I don't have to deal with awkward hi/byes. Can say I didn't see them.
They also don't get steamed up when it's warm or I blush like a twonk. |

I've got too much scar tissue on my left eye for contacts and the very thought of them gives me the heebie jeebies so I'll be wearing glasses until I'm called to the heavenly opticians .
I rather like the look of glasses |

I really like wearing glasses but I have an issue with my left eye that can't be corrected with them. So next week I'm at hospital to have a hard contact lens appointment.
If I go with it I will then need a regular contact lens from the optician for my right eye.
I think I will buy some non prescription glasses for decoration as it were, maybe some blue light reducing ones.
At least I'll have options. |

I'm only planning contacts at socials to be honest, even talking today to Mrs today I said I might wear contacts at the weekends to which she said she liked my glasses and would miss them.
I suppose its odd, seeing me with glasses for over 15 years and then suddenly not (with exception of going to bed of course).
I'm not great without glasses close up and while in some situations there's some advantages to this (don't have to see too much detail on other men), it also has the downside of not seeing as much as I'd like to of women
Consult at weekend is 60 and I get 5 pairs to try so worse come to worse I'm down 60 if I really hate them. Otherwise its 80 for months supply which given how rare I use them could do me the year |

"Tried contact lenses the other week for the first time. Nope nadda not happening ever again.
Mr H
What put you off them?"
Sticking my finger in my eye, I know where that fingers been .
On a serious note I just couldn't get along with poking myself in the eye and my blink reflex is entirely far too strong Vs my patience.

I've worn glasses since I was a child and am quite happy wearing them.
However, I do usually wear contact lenses when I go out and want to wear makeup or for a swinging meet for practical reasons. I am too short sighted to put my makeup on without wearing my lenses.
Cal just takes his glasses off when needed.

I've been wearing glasses for most of my life and I prefer my face with them, though I decided to get contact lenses for special occasions like holidays(I had to miss out on snorkelling on our honeymoon because I was blind as a bat), nights out or swinging meets.
It's nice to be able to see and also have your head pressed into pillow
I hate putting them in though and I almost always pinch my eye when I'm taking them out

I like the idea of contacts but the thought of peeling them off my eye ball makes me feel a little queasy
I didn't wear my glasses for two years, now I have no choice but to wear them because I'm blind as a bat. It's a bonus that the bigger frames hide my great big eye bags |

I wear glasses but I don’t like them. It was ages before I caved and put them on for reading and close up work.
Without them though, currently even Keith Richards ballsack would look as smooth as a baby’s bum to me.

Been wearing contacts for years. I got used to them pretty much straight away and never really had any bother putting them in or taking them out. What I would recommend is going for daily disposable one's over monthly one's. With the monthlyone's, you have to clean them daily so you don't end up with an eye infection. That can be a chore so for me it's much easier to use daily one's and just chuck them away at the end of each day. |
