We're two golden oldies who are the Statler and Waldorf of Fab.

We are like Randall and Hopkirk (deceased) except we're not dead yet.

Us two old codgers are willing to leave the domino night at the Dog Inn to come and meet ladies, couples and a couple of ladies for fun and games (nothing too strenuous at our age, like a Whist Drive, though, sorry).

We're both positively ancient at 52 and 54, so anyone with a defibrillator will get preference. We will try not to expire of old age or spontaneous combustion during the meet, so don't worry about having to fill in any paperwork, or those tricky coroners inquests. On a similar note, if your neighbours ask awkward questions about who you have had around, just tell them it is a living history project concerning the Boer War.

We have many interests, beyond Crown Green Bowls, complaining about the youth of today and starting conversations with obscure references to popular band leaders of the 1930s. We will dazzle any gathering with our tales of daring do - who could fail to be impressed by S winning the meat raffle not once, but twice in a row? Or similarly by T remembering which bin to put out?
