Anyone on here lost their sense of smell and taste from this virus if so did you or do you you get it back?

Our sense of smell is still coming back for us almost 7 weeks after we first had Covid, but it's slowly getting there.

Read the other day in a healthline article that it can take as long as 5 months to return if you essentially have long-Covid.

I had covid in December.

I still have no smell except this horrible chemical smell with hot foods.

I still can't taste properly and life's been pretty miserable as a result.

I miss enjoying food

Must have been all that 5G RNA stuff in it. I heard it was developed by Vladimir Putin himself as part of a conspiracy to destroy the west!!!

Mine lasted six weeks. It didn’t happen until I was in the second week of Covid and it came back gradually.

It was last Christmas. We have a festive candle with a very strong scent. I suddenly realised I couldn’t smell it anymore. My son went to smell it and he couldn’t either.

It’s now renamed the Covid Candle!

Had covid last November. Lost my taste and smell after a few days.

Was terrified as a cousin of mine never recovery hers.

Had to try adding extra spice or sweetness to all my food but still was shit. Couldn't even taste my wine

Thankfully after around 10 days like it went it slowly started to come back. Took a few more weeks before it was back fully

Currently in self isolation after a positive lft, awaiting the pcr results.

It was utterly surreal when it happened: my partner and I had some ice cream (needed to make room in the freezer) early afternoon whatcha was tasty. By the time dinner was around I couldn’t taste it.

Won’t be happy if it doesn’t come back.

"A neighbour did after having the experimental vaccine "

There are several approved vaccines in the UK.

Your post sounds like scaremongering. Their experience, which may have come from being given a placebo, may not relate to any of the approved medicines available in the UK, if these people exist and had that claimed outcome. The great thing for anyone involved in trials, is that they will get phenomenal levels of monitoring and support. The output from dubious Facebook groups etc, isn't generally welcome for the improvement of well-being and helping the country get back on its feet

Loss of taste and smell where my only symptoms.

My taste went funny for about 24 hours but I still had my full sense of smell, then my taste went completely and the next day my smell went.

My taste started coming back after 2 days and was fully back to normal after 4 days, My sense of smell suddenly came back after 5 days.

Covid is dangerous because of its transmissibility. Had we left it without doing anything then we would have had many more deaths. If you don't understand the consequences of leaving a virus with a high reproductive rate then you really need to educate yourself. You don't need a maths degree which included mathematical modeling like me but a simple understanding of exponential growth would be sufficient.

Tested positive last weekend - lost taste and smell on Monday. It’s so odd, particularly cooking. Didn’t realise how much I rely on smell to cook! Meanwhile it’s been a miserable week, very glad we are double jabbed as I hate to think how poorly we might have been otherwise.

I suggest you look up "Solicitor Leslie Lawrenson" a very well educated man who spouted the same crap as you.

He caught covid, had no underlying health conditions, he posted a vlog saying it was just the 'flu' and nothing to be scared of.
