I look forward to the vaccine rollout. I’m hoping my mild asthma gets me far enough up the queue so that I can go have fun with the swinging NHS workers and older people who will be ahead of me. Meanwhile, all the young folk look on with envy, waiting till mid-2021 at best...

I suspect any NHS worker who's Covid free and/or has had the vaccine might be a bit too preoccupied to meet.

But you never know.

Agree entirely, one of us is Front Line NHS and the other a cancer survivor. We’ll probably both be high on the list for the vaccine but have no intention of jumping straight back on the horse.

We are all waiting for the magic vaccine and have hope we can get back to normal life, some of us will be first on the list,I may not get a choice but to have it by my employers, however I'm under no illusions it will give me the key back into my swinging lifestyle,so I won't be rushing back into it straight away

You can imagine once some people have had the vaccine they will then think they are invincible

The priority list is provisional and may be subject to changes

The changes will probably be politicians and their families to the front as they are classing themselves as essential workers....so once all of parliament has had it..the really wealthy who bribe their way to get it the local authorities leaders and such. Doubt will be any left for ordinary folks till 2022

2.all those 80 years of age and over and health and social care workers1

3.all those 75 years of age and over

4.all those 70 years of age and over

5.all those 65 years of age and over

6.high-risk adults under 65 years of age

7.moderate-risk adults under 65 years of age

8.all those 60 years of age and over

9.all those 55 years of age and over

10.all those 50 years of age and over

11.rest of the population (priority to be determined)

This is a provisional list and there is talk about moving very high risk people further up the list regardless of age.

There is nothing on the list about essential workers being priority it's only care and nhs staff.

One of you should be able to because 1 of you is over 50.

And we need a vaccine every year for the flu jab so I don't see is any different to be honest.

My understanding was that the list of people entitled to a free priority flu jab had been increased to the over fifties.

It’s a pharma company they won’t be able to resist themselves and offer it for sale.

They will be selling these vaccines in every high street chemist after an initial rollout.

If you put a rational thought about the potential vaccine is what gives you the best result from the application of the vaccine. There is a good argument that you are wasting it on the vulnerable with limited life expendancy. That you would get much better bangs for your bucks for vaccinating 40 to 70 first as they would contribute greater economic power to our society. I am fully aware that this comes across as a bit right wing but there is something in it that should be thought about.

The government has secured 40m vaccine doses from Pfizer. That will vaccinate a third of the UK population as it requires a booster as previously stated above. There’s 11 other vaccines being Phase 4 tested at the moment so there is good news on the horizon at least.

It will take a while before we’re all playing again but aren’t all the best things worth the wait?! I’d say especially for us singles!

This isn't my an idea that I am advocating but was put forward by a medical ethics expert. They weren't saying that the vulnerable wouldn't get a vaccine but there maybe that some rethink to which is the best order to rolled out this clearly a "game changer" that would benefit the whole of society the quickest.

I may be part of the first wave but In reality I don’t think for a second we’ll see any form of “free pass” for the vaccinated. Measures will be lifted as and when enough people in society are viewed as resistant to the virus to do so as a whole.

I also think we all need to get our head around just how long vaccinating and boosting 65,000,000+ people is going to take... we’ve got quite a whole on this one yet I fear.
