I will be in Bansko 24 Feb to 3 rd Mar. Let me know if any one is also hitting the slopes on those dates, or more likely hitting the bars. I agree that it's not the best place to ski/board but it's cheap and good for a laugh. |

"It’s that good I’m buying an apartment out here
Wow really? It's my first snowboarding trip. I'm about as excited as I can be. Eek"
It's our 4th year on the trot.
It's not the worlds best skiing but good enough. The apres ski is very good and very reasonably priced.
You will find the ski road back to the village hard work on a board tho. It might be easier to come back down on the cable car to begin with.

Oh thanks for that advice. Does anyone know where the best place is for hire... I've seen loads of conflicting advice. |

Our group always use Pirin 2000 opposite the kemplinski hotel and very close to the lift. We've never had any issues. Nice helpful bunch. |

Ski hire - very cheap cost is £35 for 3 days hire
Gondola - only 1 to main resort so get there at 7:45am or it will be a 1-2 hour wait. Alternatively get the shuttle bus some are free and private ones cost £5 per person
Food - dirt cheap and very nice
Nightlife - promo teams outside clubs and bars will try and drag you in. Amigo bar has live band on can be a good night.
Strip bars - some are good and some are dodgy, the beer was go go girls and moulin rouge. |
