Wish I could do longer distances, I just get bored after five mins, even with music in my lugs.
Once hitched a lift to get to the next water hole(pub) while attempting a 5 mile run. Did about 2 n half miles.
Admire people who do. |

Good on you for giving it a go though
Just concentrate on short distance and build walks in to help increasing the miles, then you’ll get to those pubs haha |

"Used to be pretty good although these days I jog, no longer competing.
It’s good you’re still getting out though. It’s tricky to balance it around a busy life ????"
Training twice a day (sometimes 3 times if a gym session was involved) on a ten day cycle, combined with work and then two little ones I couldn't manage it and chose to retire as I call it.
Still jog to keep a bit of weight off but now as I hit 50 feeling the aches and pains |

"Not competitive runners but we’re both up this morning for a 5km. Blows away the cobwebs and sets you up for the day. "
I agree it certainly sets you up for the day. Morning is my favourite time to run. Good luck to you both in your 5k’s |

I normally run 7 miles 3 times a week, though have somehow lost my mojo in the last few months. Aiming to get back on it after my holidays and sign up for a half marathon next year.

"Running is something I'm trying to get into.
Currently doing the couch to 5k "
Set yourself a park run as your first 5k. Much easier to keep going when there are lots of others around you, easier still if you can find an attractive ass to follow |

Feeling free is the reason I run too. I love just getting out there, whether it be an hours training run or a 20 hour ultra,,, freedom! ???? Lol |

"Runner here who took it up to help with depression in my mid 30’s. Overtime I’ve got gradually faster where I can run under 20 minutes for a park run. Have run distances of 5k upto marathon. "
Excellent mate! That’s a great reason and one so many of us turn to running. |

Good luck with finding your mojo again, it’s a nightmare when you lose it lol. You’ll get back into it one you’re out again. Try different routes or trails x |

"Parkrun regulars here, think loads on here do it "
Not to be disrespectful to the site but we’d expect park runners are in a tiny minority on here esp amongst couples. That’s based on the people we’ve met on Fab.

Serial marathon runner here. In sub 3:30 training for Amsterdam on October 20th. Think I'd much prefer following runners on Strava to be honest. Where would you go with this?
I personally like to run my marathons abroad (London next year excepted) and being relatively new to fab my running trips are increasingly more exciting. |
