Do you have huge numbers on your block list.. This is prompted by a status today..Which seems to have blocked half the site and is always moaning on... I have 22 just people who wont stop contacting when asked..Just curious really

I am quite surprised... mines actually gone into double figures with a total of 11.
For me personally, I don't see the point in blocking for the sake of it willy*snigger*nilly.
You have to be a very special kind of twunt to get on my list.
But if people want to block, hey ho, it's a function there to be used just like any other. |

36 but it goes up and down with people deleting profiles. Usually used when someone asks why after a polite no thanks because i know its going to go on but if I dont want people contacting me then its a suitable option. I see it as a tool the same as the message filters and not something you should be ashamed to use. |

I was just wondering why anyone would want to count 460 people on a block list . Far too much time on hands I imagine. giggles .. gonna knock all mine off and see what happens  Its spring lets be nice to people .. |

I have a few maybe about 25ish. I tend to block people if they are not interested. Saves me the trouble of mailing again in a few weeks time if I come across the profile and forget I have tried to mail before.
Theres a few on there also who are just rude and nasty in replies so they get blocked on general principle lol |

I use it as a filter. If I find profiles with in my area, that are not looking for single blokes, don't meet people who are Bi (Doesn't mean always) those I have emailed twice (First is a hello, second will be a joking comment about their status or new pic) with no reply, or those who I simply don't like.

I use mine to block those that won't get an invite to a Posse Party....
If I've blocked them or any reason, there is NO WAY on god's earth I'm going to be responsible for them at a party.
I've got over 200 on mine and a fairly mixed collection. |

Cant count how many, but by doing a count per page (screen), then a rough page count, I think we have somewhere approaching 800!!!
In our defence, we had a couple of bad experiences when we turned down single guys, so for a while we ended up blocking any single males who looked at us..... really did think that most people had lots on theirs too....... oh my, we are naughty!!! |

Mine gets longer by the day, think i blocked about six people just from reading one thread yesterday lol. Depends what kind of mood in as to how many get blocked. I block anyone i dont want to have an association with of any kind |

I had quite a few on mine, used it as an admin tool to avoid contacting/bothering people again once I had established there's was no interest in messaging/meeting.
I hid my account because I've been working abroad for 3 months. Now I'm back I find my block list has been set to zero for some reason, wasn't me! |

Just over 40, mainly single men who have trouble with the word 'no', either from messaging me or during a social meet, or who stood me up. The rest are people who haven't replied to messages, or people who have ticked me off on the forums. |

Lol got a couple mostly single guys (surprise surprise) get some rather random mails sometimes that don't seem to let up so its all you can really do i guess

About 40 on mine but thats in about 3 years.
Cant remember the reason for most of them, but I tend to block people who have the sort of profile that I would normally go for, but then I see something on their status that would make them a no-no....
Abusive gets a block but thats probably only a handful. And hasslers I just ignore. |

I'm not sure what this means. If say the pussy posse party was held at Chams, and people were members of Chams and just happened to be in that club on the day, then you couldn't stop them going in could you?
I doubt whether the proprietor would withdraw membership because someone was on your block list.
But yes I agree that you don't have to let them on your guest list so for non members they wouldn't be able to attend, but regular members at that club would be able to walk in at any time surely |

Our block list is tiny we feel left out
To be honest the last couple of people we blocked consisted of one person who said they had seen me shopping with my kids (freaked me out) and a guy who sent the same copy and paste message every four days after being already told he wasn't our type  |

A brief synopsis:
This pompous self obsessed forum member (with an awesome arse) keeps adding people to his block list and in real life each person blocked dies one by one in horrendous ways. He can't understand why it's happening and tries to find out who is doing it but he himself becomes the chief suspect in a multiple murder enquiry.
Will he be arrested for murder?
Does the real murderer hate him or love him?
Who hacked his account and visits it each day... To check who is the next...

Over the years since we joined Fab we have been inundated with messages from all over the globe in spite of our profile stating we are only interested in meeting people who live locally.
Eventually we were forced to recognise that it was pointless saying this (regardless of the bluntness) as it was being completely ignored.
In desperation we resorted to threats to block every single guy who ignored our stated preference in "locals only".
The MANY hundreds of single guys now occupying our block list are proof of how much notice the threat has made  |

Mmmm..... That made us wonder so we had a count up.....327 on our block list.... No wonder we don't get many messages! That's not even counting single men who we have put the filter on due to been inundated with messages!!  |

It was suggested to us that we should use the filter to stop single guys contacting us but we rather like being joined by single guys except when they promise to travel from Latvia (etc) for a meet! |

We have loads.
Just find it stops us wasting time _iewing profiles that aren't right for us or us for them.
You _iew a profile, find you aren't compatible so you block. Saves everyone time & hassle.

I have a lot to be fair, too many to count. I block for all sorts of reasons - if someone sends a message that turns my stomach or is abusive, if they say something on the forum that really really turns me off. Or if they can't take no for an answer.
This thread has made me curious about unblocking the lot just to see what happens - I guess I can always reblock if they become a problem again! |

I can see why there is a need for a block list however in my opinion just a polite thanks but no thanks is usually suffice! Nothing more irritating than chatting to someone, tehn next mesage you try to send you're blocked!
