Berkshire Couples Social

Berkshire is within easy reach of Swindon so I could be interested... although I'm not in a couple.
Reading would be my preferred option (cause it's close!) but even somewhere like Maidenhead or Slough would be feasible for me.
Perhaps you could contact one of the local clubs, e.g. Kestrels or Ab Fab, to see if they can help with the venue... I find the socials at Chams work particularly well as people can experience a club without having to sign up or pay potentially high membership fees. The club owner also gets a bunch of potential new members through the door without having to go to much (any?) effort.
I've found socials held in traditional nightclubs and bars to be less sociable... usually because the music is so loud you can't talk or be heard. Not that I have a problem with loud music - just when I'm going somewhere to meet people and talk, rather than going to dance.
Hope that helps. I'm sure some of the other social organisers will be prepared to offer their advice if you do go ahead with arranging this. |

If it was to be at Abs perhaps a Tuesday night? I understand they are open but not particularly busy then . So maybe the loss of a few might be compensated for with more at a lower price? £5 per person? Some mechanism for getting the mix right would be needed.
We would love to attend and would be happy to help if we can. |

We are not really enough in the know about how to set this up, but would love to be involved in a Berkshire meet as it seems to a area sadly lacking in action. so if you have ideas on how and where we would like to be part of it. |

Pick a date, maybe a month from now as this week is to close for me, do we want somewhere in central Berkshire ie: reading, or somewhere nearer to M25 so the London/Surrey crowd can come too.
I don't know the area well enough or enough people to do this successfully |

As I'm sure all you Reading people know there are a lot of pubs down by the station and loads of pubs on Friar street and there is a travel lodge near the broad street mall for those who need to stay over.... |
