I’m also a 2.
Not a bad idea to add this to people’s profiles - although of course very few people would be honest about it. Shame, because seeing how many people are in the middle and not a 0 or a 6 might encourage some of the reactionaries on here to wind their necks in. |

At the end of the day, it’s still straight, bisexual and gay scale, with 1-5 being bi, so either/or will still work |

I'm mostly a '2' - but have a range of desire that can be a '0'... mood has a lot to do with it and even within the '2' zone I have bi limits... Interesting that more and more guys are open to bi exploration though, just a shame more women are not into the idea of 2 guys together. |

I've toted things up so far. I thought it might be interesting to compare the numbers in this thread with those for the general population. I only counted those with a preferred number and left out those who expressed a half point or said they were between two.
0 - 11 (21%)
1 - 5 (9%)
2 - 26 (49%)
3 - 7 (13%)
4 - 2 (4%)
5 - 2 (4%)
6 - 0
I didn't have time to chase down a proper break down of UK answers but the Wikipedia page on the Kinsey scale has this text:
"For a 2015 YouGov UK survey, when asked to place themselves on the Kinsey scale, 72% of all adults, and 46% of adults aged 18–24 years, picked a score of zero, totally heterosexual. On the other side, 4% of the total sample, and 6% of young adults, picked a score of six, meaning a totally homosexual identity. Overall, 89% of the population described themselves as heterosexual."

So straight it hurts...
Not just you but everyone around you? Sounds about right
Don't think I would cope with all the sex I'd be having if I was bi anyway."
No, it takes a strong constitution to cope with it. |

I've been a gay bar once with a bisexual friend who was a DJ at a Swingers club.
I was told a load of women go. Trying to pull a lesbian is like getting blood from a stone haha.
I was outside an a guy said to me "Aren't you Butch"
I said "No, I'm just Straight" |

"Personally I think fab could do a lot worse than to incorporate this into their profiles
Easy 0 = Straight
1-5 = Bi
6= Gay
"
Erm... I'm gay but I'm a 5! Men don't want to make me sick in my mouth and I've had sex with them before in the dim distant past. But I haven't in many years and have no desire to. But by your theory and the kinsey scale questions unless you're a "gold star" gay/ lesbian by your theory everyone must be bisexual.
I'll respectfully disagree!

Interesting point but does who you have sex with define your sexuality?
If someone has a same sex experience and enjoys it does it really make them gay/ bi?
Personally I don't think who you fuck defines your sexuality, which I view as who you'd want to date/ fall in love with.
If you're not unhappy having a little play with the same sex but wouldn't dream of having a relationship with them then in my mind you're probably hetro-flexible or straight.
Does getting a hard on over something mean that's someone you're attracted to? Or do you just like doing "naughty" things and it's the illicitness of it that is the turn on as opposed to the person you're doing it with?
I personally think if you wouldn't love/ date/ be mentally attracted to someone of the same sex then you're straight. YMMV!

Hence why it’s called sexuality and not marryuality |

“The Kinsey scale ranges from 0, for those who would identify themselves as exclusively heterosexual with no experience with or desire for sexual activity with their same sex, to 6, for those who would identify themselves as exclusively homosexual with no experience with or desire for sexual activity with those of the opposite sex, and 1-5 for those who would identify themselves with varying levels of desire for sexual activity with either sex, including "incidental" or "occasional" desire for sexual activity with the same sex.[7]”
It’s about sex, not relationships.

I suppose it just doesn't make sense to me according to the questions in the kinsey scale tests that if you've ever had sexual contact with someone of the same sex you're gay or bisexual, however if you've ever had sexual contact with someone of the opposite sex you cannot be gay. Many gay people have sex with opposite sex people in their younger years whilst they're still figuring it out. They realise that straight sex is not for them and they live their lives gay forever more. But because they've done that, according to the test they're bisexual. Which I don't think is the case. I'm sure the same can be said for straight people but I can't speak for them!
Personally I believe in "you are what you feel", be that in terms of gender or sexuality. I am quite sure I'll be in the minority with that opinion though!

"This is actually a perfect way to settle the “bi” question once and for all. Just post this on your profile. Fab could do worse than to incorporate this into the profile stats."
Totally agree.
I'm a 5 by the way |

I agree with you to be honest. Experimentation in your youth based on social norms should not detract from the fact that these experiences have helped confirm the fact you are gay, and should be considered as such. I get the fact that I am a 2, which makes sense... however the test doesn't give an accurate description of who you are now. In that it is flawed. |

I totally agree with you. I've had sex with more men in my life but only had sex with a handful of women but I have completely fallen for a woman I was seeing heavier than I did with any man. I struggle to live with a man but I'm sure if she'd have left her husband I'd have happily lived with her. Sadly it didn't work out because she was just testing the waters. So because I developed such strong feelings for her, and I think I could again for a woman, I feel i am bi sexual. |

Test came out with 3 although I would say I'm 2. I think women are gorgeous beings and I have many desires with them, but I wouldn't be happy in a relationship with a woman. I love cock way too much and dildos wouldn't do it for me.

I guess, looking at the Kinsey Scale of 0-6 the Fab' sexual orientation scale could look like this.
0 - Straight
2 - Bi-Curious
3 - Bisexual
4&5 No Fab' Scale
6 - Gay
V scored 3, and I score 0. |

In a quick scan. I would suggest that the majority are flexible in their sexuality. That does not mean you act on it but as swingers i am glad we are more open minded on this than perhaps the general population.
Personally fun is fun and anyone who wants to join me in fun will be considered. |
