Almost as bad as the blokey who was on a meet and they were at the pub (getting to know each other) and he was on his blackberry giving us a running commentary.

Well some may see it as a 'look at me I have got a meet!' post.

Others may think how thrilling a meet with you might not be seeing as you won't be able to drag yourself away from the site and hold yourself back from posting and updating your status.

Some may just think you need a wide birth as it seems you can't keep your mouth shut.

Nobody has named and shamed because nobody has *been* shamed. She posted on here herself and certainly doesn't seem to have a problem with him posting the thread, so why can't everyone back off and leave them to it. If it was a more well known couple using their singles accounts and posting this thread everyone would have seen it for the giggle that it is so blatantly obvious is.

I see where you are coming from Wishy, but my jaw dropped when I initially saw the thread because it looked like she didn't know.

....if me and OH went on a meet, we certainly wouldn't expect the site user to start a thread saying we were on our way or with them. We wouldn't want it or encourage it tbh... it's quite distasteful in mine and OH's eyes.

...but if that's how the OP and his partner want to enjoy the site. I'm happy to leave them to it.

I think what taurusgirl is saying is that 2 hours after the Op posted there's people still having a go at him because they've read the initial post and then nothing else. If they had read more of the responses before commenting they'd be more upto date.

I have to agree to this. I was thinking about it the other day when someone put up a post about there being a clique in the forums. I think some of the members who post on here often can be a bit quick to jump on a poster because they don't know who they are so they automatically assume the worst!

So your line of thought works this way:

I'm going to start a thread naming the person I'm shagging tonight because I know forum users will think "that's a bit off" and say something about it

no i they started moaning i just posted a thread of no signicance,they started moaning all on there own

can see what you were doing NOW..

but you must expect forum users to react to that which they initially see..

they will do so as they read what is put, yes you can say later 'it was this it was that'...

you cant criticise people for how they genuinely respond..

I doubt the Op initially posted it to wind people up cause there are other controversial topics that he could have chosen!

As for his post I'm assuming that when he posted it he had the consent of Moody Cow or that she was aware of it because she has since posted in the topic.

Just like anyother topic in the forums if you don't like it then just move onto the next.

If people want to block him then that's their perogative.

I totally agree with that

The responses would have been so much different if from the very start everyone knew that Moody Cow knew about the thread. The thread could have been a total 'hoot' like many other threads, but the initial lack of information naturally let it go the other way.

I actually breathed a sigh of relief when I saw Moody Cow post. Until then, I was actually concerned.... I've said before, I'd be mortified if a thread had been started by one of our 'meets' announcing publically what we were up to.

As i already posted chill pills all around it was quite apparant from the tone of the ops post that it was all very much tounge in cheek,some forum posters really need to take a step back and think about how involved they are getting in forums

I don't like people who 'brag' about who they are going to meet or are currently meeting.

I don't like people who start threads to inflame.

You could have stopped any misunderstanding by posting the facts, but you chose not to.
