Following on from an idea the Lick and Bicker team were discussing and all those 'NSA pics anyone' threads, we wondered if all you photographers and photographees out there would attend a well organised, private and secure photo shoot social?
It would be run by women in a warm and comfy location with changing facilities and showers.

I'd love to take some pics of others but I'm always wary of people expecting more from me. Something like this sounds so much more relaxed so I'd be interested. |

Hi. I'd love the opportunity for some photography practice. I'm an amateur with some limited boudoir/studio experience. Practice makes perfect! I've also posed for others (and done plenty of self-shots ... not easy!) so open to that too if it helps the session along.  |

That’s what we are discussing as we know it could be a problem. There will have to be an element of trust but we will be taking advice from professionals. |

It’s obviously going to happen but this isn’t a sex meet. It will obviously be highly charged and sexy but those that want that will make their own arrangements elsewhere. |

Yep, I can see there might be some issues with privacy and rights. There'd have to be some form of agreement about use etc.
Also I don't think anyone attending should expect to charge for taking pics. Similarly for anyone posing (where payment is often by giving the model the pics to use themself). |

We never allow anyone to photograph us unless they use our camera. That might be one way of avoiding problems, insisting that people are only photographed with their own device.
Its too easy to use a camera with two sd cards, to switch from sd to internal memory etc.

This wouldn't work as people are never all trust worthy.
You would need simple but clear consent forms printed stating the material can't be used elsewhere / not for public use & everybody photographers & models would have to sign it, a guardian should be appointed to look after said forms in case anyone breaches what's said on form.
We photograph people every week & would never do any photo/film shoots without releases/consent safeguards etc.
Remember under UK law the photographer owns the content so don't take any needless chances. |

I'm a photographer and any photo shoot i do is in a professional manner not looking for more just simply photo in a relaxed environment, all pics get downloaded onto the persons computer from my sd card or compact card, I do keep the photos but do nothing with them just kept for my personal use etc, I don't charge, that way you get around the laws etc as you're not getting any profit from it you are covered  |

Thank you xx, we have shot countless free private profile pics for peeps here on FAB as well as professional shoots & we always explain the difference in great detail before any camera's come out.
A consent form is easy to type up & very very important, we like to know who we are working with & usually check them out first as we have been caught out by reporters posing as photographers a couple of times. |

Exactly. Nobody really knows who anyone is on the net and one small slip up can lead to massive life impact.

As pro photographer (him) I would not be interested in coming along (too far) but you need enough room (particularly headroom) for studio lighting and stands together with suitable rooms/furniture/decor etc. You also need to be pretty good at makeup (or have someone who is). Your average small house room is not generally suitable.
Anything less won't do if you want REALLY good photos.
Then there is (as mentioned) the issue of consent and agreements etc. Just for the record it is copyright that remains with the photographer. |

I would be interested, would love to get some better photo's taken for my profile and also would love to get behind the camera and take some photo's too.

I'd need to see a portfolio of work of any togs I worked with as I would have no interest in receiving images of poor quality taken on a camera phone.
The privacy issue on here could be difficult. On model sites the photographer could receive a neg review that is shown. Something this site lacks. A guy with camera on here would likely do what he wanted with his images.
A model release stating joint rights of images and potential usage would be needed.

Depending on when and where, I'd be happy to help out, have pro studio lighting setup with various soft boxes and light shapers, multiple cameras and lenses, happy to give newbies some instruction on studio lighting.

We are both semi pro photographers and think the idea of this shoot is good but the production of keeping everyone happy and safe would be difficult to control.
Even with release forms etc there will always be one person who doesn't follow the rules and once you leave the studio you have no control over him / her ?
We have done many photoshoots for fab members locally and it does boil down to trust. Easy to control on a one to one basis but little or no control on a group shoot.
Afraid as much as we like to take raunchy photos don't think this would be for us.. |

Well I'm in cumbria and a amateur photographer and I wouldnt neccessarily want sex but after seeing some poor selfies it would be good to help

As a semi retired pro photographer of 30+ years I applaud your idea even though I wouldn’t attend. In principle it’s a great idea but in practice extremely difficult to carry out successfully. I stopped going to group shoots many years ago because of some of the issues raised here and other issues.
From the model/subjects angle: The use of images afterwards, trust issues (even with consent forms).
From the photographers angle: Conflicts with dominant personalities, equipment issues, unrealistic expectations.
A lot depends on what people are expecting from the shoot in the way of quality images? I for one wouldn’t feel comfortable being expected to use someone else’s camera if they were expecting top class results, this is not snobbery it’s simple fact. I use a camera & lens valued around £5000, I always shoot in RAW format and 2 fstops below metering level. I process my images in PS. With the best will in the world, your not going to get the same consistent quality borrowing someones camera to take their images and handing it back for them to process.
However, as I said, I hope it turns out a huge success and everyone comes away with a fist full of images they are’chuffed to bits with’. |

You insert your SD card with your name on it into their camera. Take out the card once done. Just like hanging on to the film/negatives. |

What about cameras with an internal memory or space for two sd card? It's nanoseconds to press the button swapping between the two. |

Why don't people just shoot anon style
Rather than just plain cutting heads off or using pixels which ruin images. Take them in a way not to show identity
I've done it with photographers when shooting open leg as art nude is my usual level.

To get the Professional results you want you need to organise this Professionally with togs using their own camera's & consent forms signed by all parties.
This isn't the sort of thing we'd take on but happy to help with the consent forms etc. |

I am hoping to go. Not sure yet. My husband may go as either a photographer or model.
He is actually a good photographer.he has Also done a bit of modelling. |

I would be interested in taking the pics for some,but. it needs to be done correctly so all know who and what can or cannot happen to the pics. I shoot Raw so all pics need editing so none would be available on the day.Please bear thing like this in mind  |

That is true. No serious photographer would just hand the SD card as it's their work and it isn't finished. Handing out RAW images without edit would be like going for a fancy evening party without a makeup on for a woman... or some men :D
What's needed is a signed modified TFP (time for pictures) release. We need to state how images can be used by photographers and models. I can prepare the release for you the organisers and would insist on ID checks.
I am happy to attend both as a modem and photographer, will speak with my partner tonight if she's like to come as a model too.

I'd be up for this.
Would need property release forms and model release forms in place so everyone has each ithers details to make it legally binding for safety. That's what normally happens and within that define everything about how the images can or cannot be used |

Easy answer is to pay models till you have photos that models are to work tfp for.
I did mostly tfp when I started , now I charge unless someone very talented asks to shoot |

Easy answer is to pay models till you have photos that models are to work tfp for.

As above, plenty on Purple Port, Madcow Models or Model Mayhem, or look for a studio day where you get to pick up shooting tips and play with studio lighting as well |

Alternatively, as models on those sites tend to be a bit expensive for the amateur photographer, get yourself along to a local photography club. These tend to hold model evenings, usually you cover the costs between you so it works out cheaper, but as they are group shoots they can have disadvantages. |

Start off looking through sites such as Adult Work for ladies local to you that only have a few pics & offer to do them a portfolio on a content share basis, most importantly both sign a shared content release giving you both non exclusive rights to use the material for whatever purpose.
I've won most of my awards for film making but have still shot photos for well over 350 models during a 20 year period so you learn as you go on.
Always be friendly & non threatening in your approach & manner & don't do it just to get a leg over, get a few ladies liking your pics & word soon goes around. |

Go form it set it up let come who wants to come and all have a great afternoon, do consent forms etc everyone knows the crack and what’s expected and only invite verified members who sign a consent form with ID present. Don’t know sure this is worth setting up though

I am not really into pictures. Rarely go into hot pics and never Fab'd a pic. Just not my thing.
Having said that I do like this and can see it helping many people. I would think about attending if the issues raised can be addressed and social is well organised.
Trust, copyright, consent and agreements all need to be clear. That will make me feel more comfortable in my pictures being taken.
If that fails I suppose I could be brave and start taking selfies... nah I take that back  |

I used to be a member of an adult photography club, about four or five photographers and one or two couples. It was a lot of fun, very friendly and I also learned a lot from some of the pro photographers there. One way to ensure confidentiality is to leave the memory card behind so that the couple or model can only send out the images they approve of, once anonymised. Or to wear venitian style masks for some shots. |

If I was to take part and I’m not saying I would or wouldn’t. I would expect all concerned to sign a model release form and then we all know where we stand then.
