Did you know OP most STIs show no symptoms at all.... And to break it down for you... The fact is there is a huge amount if sti's you cannot dectect without testing that have developed faster than human evolution hence not enough Natural protection. The point is HIV does not have symptoms, herpes can not have symptoms too, other STI's too can not have symptoms showing too so just checking for 'spots' its not good enough

I didn't mention condoms in my answer so I'm not sure why you are making that statement. But as you have, and to disagree with you, condoms are a highly effective way to prevent the spread of STD's, so yes condoms will stop you from getting an STD more than having unprotected sex.

where have you been going for your clinic check. They haven't swabbed the end of my partners cock for years...

Anyway to answer I love bare sex but will not do it outside of a relationship. I do check visually but I'm not stupid enough to think a look shows it is clear. I use condoms for sex to minimise my risks. And while they don't prevent all they go a long way to helping. When active I get checked every 6 to 8 weeks.

In this day and age, the risks of having bareback sex are well understood. Just doing a spot check is not enough. Viruses and bacteria can be passed regardless if that person is not exhibiting any symptoms.
