Hi guys we were wanting to get have some photos and video taken of us being naughty together but we have concerns as to the privacy provided by photographers who would be taking them. Any suggestions or reassurances on this kind of thing? X

Make sure there's a written contract signed by both parties?

Tripod and timer works well, then you don’t have to involve people.

Provide the photographer with your own memory card. Lots of photographers like the practise and there's a voyeuristic pleasure for the lucky snapper

The previous poster's point about contract is very valid, also just keep your eyes on the card/disc/tape (anyone still use tape?) that they shoot on. Supply your own media maybe and as soon as the session is over ask for the card and be suspicious if the camera is connected to a laptop as they could be copying the material straight to the computer.

If the photographer is a proper photographer he/she/it will want to keep a copy too.

I know it's been mentioned that some would just like the experience, without the photos as the end product they couldn't learn from that experience.

Now if it is just a twat with a camera who's jacking off as they take the pics, you have a valid point.

But if the photographer wants them for art's sake, then a contract needs to be made for their use. Which if they are a proper photographer they will have something already set up.

I've taken photos and videos for couples before. I've used their cameras so no possibility of me stealing any images. This seems a sensible, safe way forward

No photographer/videographer worth their salt would ever distribute material without the subject consent, so there should be some form of contract and a model release.

My advice would be to find a (real) professional if you want professional results, or find someone you trust implicitly to take them with your own equipment.

And thats before you even get started on who owns the copyright, but thats a whole other can of worms...

We get swinger friends to take pics of us together, or use a tripod. Don't know if we'd perform well in a studio in front of a professional photographer.

Recall hearing about a swinger club that had a resident photographer who would take pics in private rooms, pity more places don't offer that service.

Be very warey. Most Pro DSLR cameras have dual slots for memory cardscards. Ask if they have a portfolio of nornal images to gauge level of skill they offer. Be also aware many photographers shoot RAW so unless you have editing skills they will want to take them away to edit. I do not allow anyone to use my name on images i have not edited as i could loose business. Good luck and do your research .

This is the best advice you’ll get. I take photos on a semi pro basis, any hint that I was duplicating the images would be the end. Look for Togs who have their own websites so you can see their work. It’s bloody hard work for the Tog too, they won’t be interested in being involved in the shoot on the other side of the lens

I am a Pro photographer and the owner of the images (always) is the photographer and they can do whatever they want ...there are no valid contracts (model release) which could help you (and can you really afford a few grand on a civil case!!)

The thing is if you just want nice pics then i could use anyone's camera but to make them but if you want pro then i would need ot work on them after wards...it really does depend on what you want.

I would go as far as saying anyone with an IPAD can get top quality images and there are enough applications to alter the images to make them look pretty. (its about composition and elements of an image...not the size of the lens!)

Several ways to go really...

1) advertise for a photographer, use your own SD card if your worried about images being recovered later.

2) if you have a decent video camera and pc you can take stills.... Upload to your computer and run it through a programme... There are lots online free to use.

It also does come down to are you looking for more artsy photos or just ones for your profile?

Depends what sort of quality end product you want really. If you don't mind a shoddy job then anyone with a camera should be able to help you. However if its a proper job you need then either you just have to find a pro and ask. When I was working I was asked by a quite a few people both male and female. Naked shoots happen all the time so for a decent professional he or she would be ok. Now if you wanted some interaction then that would be different

I’m also a professional photographer and your statement isn’t entirely accurate. By default, copyright belongs to the photographer but, and this is a big but, can be contracted out to a third party. So the OP could employ a photographer and have negotiated the copyright issue. (It’s a big issue which the majority of the public miss understand).

The contract and model release are two entirely different instruments which do different things.

I’ve done a huge amount of this type of work for porn sites, models, etc, and the legal issues don’t have to be complex, but do need to be understood!

It always amazes me how these threads always bring out "pro photographers" who have one or two out of focus, badly composed photos on their profile. No genuine photographer, pro or amateur would post a substandard image anywhere.

Our advice is to browse this site for photographs of the type and quality you would like and approach the owner(s) of the profile.

Ultimately it's about trust and respect. I've taken photos and had photos taken of me. I've not had problems either way as we agreed on usage.

One lady did change her mind about having her pics online so I just deleted them from the site for her. Obviously someone else could have downloaded them in the meantime but she understood that.

Some amateurs, like me, welcome the opportunity to practice. But getting someone to model depends on the trust being there. If I abuse that then I've only shot myself in the foot as no-one will want to model for me.

Good luck with the shoot whenever it happens!

But it seems pretty bonkers to me quite frankly why anyone is wanting or needing pro shots to be used on your profile on here. I mean ffs come on !!! Its already been said above that anyone with a decent camera can achieve quite good results however a pro will yes have all the lighting kit required for a full on glam shoot if you want it, but it comes with a cost and risks. To suggest that any so called togs on here are either bogus or aren't any good if their profile pics aren't very good is also a load of crap. This is actually incorrect, if you are paying a photographer and have the correct contract in place, they copyright transfers to the client. A photographers ownership of an images is not always set in stone.

I'd go with the earlier suggestions however of providing your own memory cards so the photographer never takes the images away with him. Unless you want them edited that is, then there is definitely a level of trust required unless you're also in a position where you can provide a computer and software!

"These pictures aren’t going on display anywhere arty are they ? "

The OP was concerned about privacy, particularly with regards to the images use afterwards. Image ownership and copyright is hugely misunderstood.

If a take a portrait of Jane, and give her a print of said image, she owns the physical print. But as photographer I retain copyright. Without Jill’s permission, I cannot use said portrait commercially for example, as a face shot for a beauty adverting campaign. Likewise, Jill can not scan the print, copy it, plaster it all over Facebook, etc...

...unless by contract we have agreed on something different. Understanding this is important. Always read the small print.

as someone who is doing it for living(not glamour or fashion) but still if I used a model I will need to get her release to sell/use the photo. I can guarantee you that he/she can never publish your work online or in a print without your written release (Model release) as you can easily sue them and get them in a huge trouble that they wouldn't want. Now that if he used your photos for his own pleasure (wanking) he might do other than that rest assured he can't jeopardise his career for something not worthy. As someone advised you above get a proper one if you want proper photos and no he won't accept to use your own memory cards and probably will need to be paid unless he is looking to use them in his portfolio. I can't think of any photographer who would waste his time for photos that can't be used. I would never do it unless either being paid or have a model release to publish them on my website.

Good luck!

On certain events Jaydees have a photographer in who does mini shoots for those that wish to participate... these are either in a private room or a designated area. Anybody that doesn’t want to be photographed just stays away from that room or area. The shots are amazing, some are on my profile. The pics are then emailed to you afterwards and then deleted. They go nowhere else. This is also free of charge for anybody looking for nice fab photos.

But where are your pro photos?

I've had so called pros on here ask to take my photos. I've made up to 70 an hour modelling so it's not happening.

But photography of this nature would be treat with discression by me an do my given to yourselves for you viewing pleasure. All images I do are fully edited in Lightroom/photoshop. Just make. Sure you sign an agreement with the photographer you choose to keep them private.

I totally agree. Also, in my honest opinion any pro offers service for isn’t pro I would never offer my service for free except probably as a gift for someone in a special event. I get paid well for my time so won’t mix that with being on here.

Anyway now adays phone camera can do a sufficiently good job to produce photos enough to see on phone screens. Use a timer and take your own. Many lighting options could work with that as well. So no need for a photographer except if you are into real modeling.

Interesting thread!

We have looked into similar in the past and got scared off by the 'Pro' advice and told to look for professional photographers with contracts in place, look out for dual cards etc etc etc.

I think some of the advice forgot the clients request though!

Most pro boudoir photographers would NOT go beyond boudoir style to ensure they never get associated with 'porn' as its their businesses reputation at stake.

Like the Op the idea of us having photo's of ourselves being intimate whilst effectively being watched appealed to our exhibitionist streak too. It was more than just the photo's (if that makes sense)

I do take photo's as a hobby and using shutter release etc and posing ourselves can be fun but is a bit of a mood killer as far as the intimacy is concerned

As a swinger and a hobby photographer I would love the opportunity to take photo's for a couple, just for the experience, my only request would be to look at the pictures I had taken before they skipped off with the memory card...just to see how well I did!

I am sure there are other people on here that would be willing to do the same, so try building a bit of trust with them and decide from there, but remember the advice that was offered in the thread of what to look out for.

Can you really trust anyone in reality? Probably not as on multiple occasions photographers have sold/uploaded photos without permission and the more professional the worse you only have to look at press exposures to see it happens. Probebly the safest bet is to get someone to take photos on your own equipment if you are that concerned and not let it out of your sight.

It's always been the same on Fab.

Anyone looking for advice on anything photography related is far better off using Google than asking on here. Answers to questions regarding kit, contracts, image usage, licensing, etc are all out there.

There are plenty of professional boudoir photographers who will be open to shooting more explicit content.

Go down the professional route and you're 99.9% likely to be safe and have no concern over images being used without consent. One case of unauthorized use would kill any business and you would have a cast iron case for legal action.

Go down the 'Fab pro' route and you have no protection at all.

You get what you pay for.

Go down the professional route and you're 99.9% likely to be safe and have no concern over images being used without consent. One case of unauthorized use would kill any business and you would have a cast iron case for legal action.

Go down the 'Fab pro' route and you have no protection at all.

You get what you pay for.

Exactly

I wouldn't dream of asking someone off here to photograph me.

For a few reasons.

I can make money doing it

They will expect more.

I really can't see images of being any use to me

Any one want someone to do pics

Approach a model site.

They will do them for free and wouldn't risk releasing them as their rep is at stake

"Use a friend? "

Always an option if trust is there and they're capable.

There are still a few pics floating a round Fab that I took for people over 5 years ago. Taken on my kit and edited on my laptop. But they are friends so there was no issue re trust.

Wouldn't recommend using anyone you don't know well enough to have 100% trust in though. Even friends fall out and you've no comeback. Certainly never worth taking someone on face value that offers via a message or forum post though.

"Hi, I am a pro photographer based IN Castleford. I only share work that people have allowed me to share. The majority of these are family/model images or landscapes. But photography of this nature would be treat with discression by me an do my given to yourselves for you viewing pleasure. All images I do are fully edited in Lightroom/photoshop. Just make. Sure you sign an agreement with the photographer you choose to keep them private.

Hi the post became live again and we've had a few messages ... thank you.

There's a few pro togs who offer to do some shots but the thread has kind of put us off.

The comments are great and offers wonderful but the compromise of privacy via Technology seems risky at best.

Also some of the thread posts about ownership and image rights are a bit scary for us... we don't want to end up being on the net if you catch my drift.

It was intended as a fun thing to do without fear pictures are kept or stored or even used for other than our own personal use.

I suppose a trusted Fab person with a mind for fun and a good eye to take pictures on your own device is the only way to go.?....

Them being naked too of course so we can be certain they have no secondary devices on person.

I always download the taken photos to the couples memory stick and then delete from camera in front of the couple before I leave so there is no problem.

"Hi guys we were wanting to get have some photos and video taken of us being naughty together but we have concerns as to the privacy provided by photographers who would be taking them. Any suggestions or reassurances on this kind of thing? X

"

Always use your own memory cards and keep ownership of media.

I take all our pics on my phone I don't allow the other guy to take pics. I keep faces off the pics and send the good ones to the guy afterwards once I've checked them out.

The whole use your own card thing is often mentioned, but is kind of pointless. All the new pro cameras can transfer images to an app for example on the photographers phone as well as the cards. And any professional would want to edit the images in Photoshop etc...

You are best looking on a model photography site.

I am a model and I would never dream of using someone on here as you can well imagine them wanting more. A proper photographer would not and you could trust them a lot more

The will also turn up with decent kit and not some crap from Argos pretending to know their stuff.

I've done stuff a lot higher level than I advertise as it's for their own collection .you have to trust some people

Wear masks, or do what we do, get your good swinging friends to take the pics/vids. Cameras are often out at our play sessions and afterwards we share pics and we all agree not to post others' faces.

If u go down the using ur phone route, a tripod and a Bluetooth remote button for taking the pics or vid (cpla quid on eBay) can produce some awesome results without the need to involve somebody else x

I'm close to Hagley. I would take the photos either on your camera or simply download them from my camera onto your pc/laptop. No problem with privacy then.

I've been shooting film & photo's for the adult industry & private shoots for 20yrs, very genuine with a list of refs coming out my ears lol.

I have shot about 40 couples/singles photos/video's on Fab too so please have a look at my verifications.

As someone said even if it's your best friend doing the pics always put it in writing signed by both parties that the material is strictly private.

"No photographer/videographer worth their salt would ever distribute material without the subject consent, so there should be some form of contract and a model release.

My advice would be to find a (real) professional if you want professional results, or find someone you trust implicitly to take them with your own equipment.

And thats before you even get started on who owns the copyright, but thats a whole other can of worms...

This is the best advice you’ll get. I take photos on a semi pro basis, any hint that I was duplicating the images would be the end. Look for Togs who have their own websites so you can see their work. It’s bloody hard work for the Tog too, they won’t be interested in being involved in the shoot on the other side of the lens"

You guys are 100% right what you say about professionals, after spending years making a name for themselves it would be business suicide for them to then use the material.

"I'm a photographer" is one of the older fuck lines, since photography was invented. Goes with "I'm music producer", "I'm a moviemaker", etc etc etc. re harvey weinstein

Tripod and timer works well, then you don’t have to involve people."

This. And have a few diferent phones or cameras for different angles!
