"oh wheres it gonna be and when does it open?"
It's gonna be in Gloucester.
A gay club in the week and the weekends will be turned over to swingers.
It's also going to be a hotel.
We are waiting for the council to rubber stamp the permission! |

"Council turns down swinger club bid
sad there will be no swingers club in gloucester"
We thought that it got the green light from the council? It was on Radio 2 recently and the building at the moment is a Grade 2 listed one and is empty. The plans were passed by the council because there were no legal reasons why they could refuse and in fact seemed keen that the building would be used and any restoration would be in keeping with its grade 2 listing.
Seems like they have changed their minds or we have incorrect info?

Incorrect info the council had said they would not accept objections on moral grounds. The building has already been restored by the council, we got very excited about it too until we found out where it was going to be, way too public most clubs we know are very discrete this was 30 sec stroll from the town centre. couldn't have picked a worse place really |

Update "club mystique" (swan hotel) will be going ahead anyway as after taking leagal advise the owners found they dont need to get planning permission so it looks like glo'ster will be getting its club after all (check out todays citizen for more) downstairs will be a bar and veggie restaurant with the club upstairs. We still think its too close to the city center but what are your thoughts? |

Some of our friends went. We havent spoken to them yet but they have left positive feedback on another site about the place, so first thoughts are that it sounds ok. No idea about costs or facilities until we speak to them. |

Good points:
Some great people there.
We had a lot of fun and were very, very tired when we left!
A very good buffet (not sure if that's to be included every night)
The closest club to us.
Not so good points:
Much too big for the number of people.
A very expensive night out, compared with other clubs. £40 entrance, a pay bar, and a pay car park (yes, even at that time of night, no wonder Gloucester is dead).
Four bouncers were apparently necessary, no doubt due to all the publicity, and the very indiscreet location.
Very few facilities, no jacuzzi or sauna.
Several closed-door themed rooms but no open group room.

we have been twice now to the club and both nights were fantastic. Its a massive place with loads of rooms to play in, we recommend the austin powers room . We also stayed over one night which we would recommend as the fun just goes on and on.
Being a new club it will take time to add ideas and recommedations however we found it brilliant and highly recommend it xx |
