Don't know about looks, but age unimportant surely doesn't mean 'no standards'.
Quite a lot of couples profiles also state a wide range of ages (and we've met as young as 21 and as old as 62 ourselves), but that doesn't mean we are desperate, thank you very much!
Far from it, we still choose who we meet based on whether we fancy them or not, it simply means age is just a number from our perspective.

If this question was with regards to what’s important in a playmate, we’d hedge a bet personality would be up near the top of the list, yet when looks and age are not as important to some people they are then called desperate.
So we’ve come to the conclusion that’s there’s only three ways to describe swingers, desperate or shallow, which most of us will fit into, then we’re left with the minority that are too far up their own arses to notice

Looks with regards playmates are important..you have to be attracted to them. Although personailty does it everytime. Sometimes your not instantly attracted to the person with regards looks but get to know..and well.
Age again not that important, although do have my preferences.
These views only apply to playmates, friends well...they are your friends regardless. |

Yes,we do go for looks.That's what the initial attraction comes down to.
However,if they don't have a nice personality it's going nowhere.
Also,contrary to what sometimes seems popular belief on the forums,unatractive people haven't cornered the market in nice personalities,quite the opposite in many cases.

i have said open minded and that i dont mind race or coulor , im a single guy and my reasons for it are that i do have standards but i dont want to discount someone until i met them to be honest , for me i prefer the social side of things if i get on with someone im happy , coulor wise i dnt think it should ever be an issue in the first place, if this translates as im desperate or have no standards then so be it thats up to the person reading the profile to make their own judgements on |

i doubt anyone would really meet anyone at all despite their age and looks, when i read things like that i usually take it as they are saying they don't really have a type as such and will consider anyone but if they dont like you i'm sure they would still say no |

I'm not really fussy about size or supermodel looks.
I have fairly wide age preferences, but also limits for the sake of convenience . Why wade through a category of people - 60+ in my case- that I'm very unlikely to be able to relate to. I do have personal subjective prefences regarding looks. I Like chiseled in guys, mousy in ladies in androgeny in both.
That isnt to say I dont find a great many other people outwith these preferences attractive....just that "age, size, looks" are certainly not a mute point for me. |

I have to say what I feel is true - I'm 40 and know that that I'm attracted to women that are sexy, some will be more "classically" attractive than others but I like a woman with a bit of an attitude who can flaunt it and that just makes her sexy. In that regard I usually find women who are older than me carry that off more. Age-wise, for me age is nothing but a number (although some peoples may be larger than others)
Look-wise, again doesn't mean a great deal to me and I am more attracted to personality than looks...and nothing is sexier than brains, intellect and personality

Do they look physically attractive or not?

I think its all relative. What are your standards? Do you have an age, weight, wrinkle line you draw and people out side that you discount.
Personally I wouldn’t lower my standards but I think my standard is not a hard and fast line. If someone has a pretty face but is a little heavy then its all relative. There is a film called Shallow Hal which puts things into perspective.
What I wouldn’t do it demean my self or shag someone who I had personality issues just to get a shag. If you don’t like someone or find that you cringe a little then personally I’d rather not.
