Want to come to a party at our house?

Meet others like yourself?

Clean surroundings

Bring your own drink

Sound good?

Cost £20 per couple for the cost of laundry and wear and tear of the house, cleaning up and so forth

Just got similar via pm.....If you were going to throw a swinging party at your house would you charge a fee?

We would'nt but then we would'nt invite strangers anyway just friends that we have already made

I don't know much about private house parties but we hav'nt ever been charged to attend one yet......maybe theres a market out there?

We didn't,We have been to parties run on a commercial basis and they have almost all been incredibly sleazy affairs run by slimy bull merchants.

We wouldn't ever try promoting a party on this or any other web site. What a pain.

If there was a buffet laid on we wouldn't mind paying £10 a couple.

These days we'd think it only fair to chip in.

sort of tells you what someone is like if they try to charge you for a party - parties in theory are meant to be for friends - friends you invite because you like them and want to share enjoyment with - not to capitalise on them and make a few quid - if we were going to charge it would be a damn site more than 20 squid but then again we never would - seems to us that there are vulnerable people on here and where there are vulnerable people there are leaches who want to take advantage

I once read - on another site I might add - that the fee for attending was to help pay for the cleaning costs for a friends house that the guy was looking after while they were away on holiday - now that is cheeky!

Would never pay but don't mind chipping in when the hat is passed round.

To be honest just get there address and pass it on to Inland revenue, also if you are paying to get in are you not classed as living off immoral earnings and prostitution????

Private parties, Swinging parties, etc etc etc. Depends on what you call it, there's demand for all of them.

A private party organised by someone in their home for a select group of people is fine.., and a lot more fun. Its usually a smaller group and a lot more sexually charged.

However, there's nothing wrong if someone wants to make a few bob on the side by organising a party and charging a fee. Whether they call it cleaning fees, or maintenance fees or whatever, it doesn't matter.

If its a decent bash, not seedy, not open to all comers who can afford the 20 quid they'll charge couples or 1000 quid they'll probably charge single guys, then I don't see what is wrong with it.

We're in a capitalist society, if you've got the know how to organise quality swing parties and charge for it where people can feel they've got their money's worth, I don't see whats wrong with that.

They do a fairly decent one at Radletts.., and I'm not going to begrudge the organisers if they've got a few bob left over after taking care of the maintenance costs

stoke on trent

mmmm We don't really see the problem.

We can speak from experience as we've had loads of parties, some we have advertised on site (not this one but LS where we are also members) and we've had a mixture of invited friends and complete strangers turn up - but we've never charged any one a penny (nice if they bring a bottle though lol)

Nor have we had any other sort of problem as some seem to suggest. In fact having a few 'strangers' at a party keeps it new and fresh for your regular friends, yes?

The very reason we'd offer to pay to help cover cost's was because it was friends. As friend's we wouldn't expect them to fork out for everything, afterall they're supplying the venue etc,the least we could do is chip in with the buffet.

Not that they'd ask,we'd just do it out of politeness and because they are friends. The same way we'd help tidy up the next day if we'd stayed over but then thats just the type we are.
