does anyone else think its really rude when someone doesnt reply to messages, even when you have been polite, rather than just saying thanks but no thanks???? |

This is a topic that rears it's ugly head every so often, many of the regular posters are bored of replying with the same thing, may I suggest you search the forums for more feedback on this subject, start by trying 'no reply'.
There are many reasons why people choose to not reply, one example is so many couples and females get a lot of messages on a daily basis and they have lives away from here, so to spend less time messaging and more time on their life they may choose to message only those that fit their requirements or those that clearly have read their profile.
Have a search for more reasons.
Personally, on our couples profile I do try to reply to all messages, but I have felt my eyes roll and simply ignored some before now, lol. not polite ones of course  |

Why do people like to get so sodding indignant simply because a stranger won't reply to a message they never asked for ......
Beats me .... these people must look for all the bad stuff in life they can find.

It's not rude not to reply.
Some ladies and couples get hundreds of messages a day so it simply isn't possible for them to reply to everyone. If you don't get a response, you can safely assume they aren't interested. If you're getting a lot of "no-replies" then you should consider your profile and the messages you send. Are they giving the right message? Are you standing out from the thousands of other guys on here?"

I find it far more frustrating when you send a well crafted witty message to someone, and receive a one liner in reply - its particularly ironic when their profile says they dont want one line messages |

We think it is fair to reply to people when they contact you but when the person contacting you obviously hasnt bothered to read your profile first then we think best to just leave it alone as you just get people saying but you havent tried this or you would like it, we set out in our profile what we are looking for and we also thinks is reasonable to expect people to read your profile and not just look at your photos then contact you, if everyone read through the profiles before contacting others there would be a lot less wasted messages back and forth |

when ever i contact someone on here my message is alays polite i introduce myself and say what im into and say what has interested me in the person/s and i always read the profiles so if someone says no single guys i dont message them end of. i understand ignoring the lets meet and fuck messages though. |

i've made a point of putting on my profile that i will not reply due to the abuse i got from men that dont handle a polite 'no' very well.
i'm not rude or ignorant, i just prefer not to subject myself to that kind of abuse on here.

But saying ' thanks but no thanks'is a reply surely? Stop whinging! Ask any lady with a single profile and she will tell you that most messages are from guys who haven't read the profile, sent an inappropriate message, don't match the criteria - etc etc - it would be a full time job to reply to each and every message! Z |

If you send someone a message then thats what you choose to do,does not mean that the person you have emailed has to reply..
If you dont get a reply or your email gets deleted then they don't want to meet you,sulking and moaning about it in the forums is not attractive and is a huge turn of for most people. |

OP, yeah it's rude. Ask a single fem how many emails she gets on an average day. Literally hundreds.
Do you reply to every piece of junk mail that you get in your post box or bit of spam in your email? You don't? Wow.
That's what most messages are, spam. You may spend a while writing a message specific to the recipient. That doesn't mean they have to invest the same length of time in responding.
It goes with the territory. Now try saying something original and witty in the forums or in your profile or on the chat rooms and let your personality attract some ppl. It may work. |

It doesnt bother us tbh, but I usually let the Hubby send them as he has a thick skin and does'nt get upset easy ... I do reply to every message we recieve tho, seems rude not to  |

I can understand people thinking I'm rude if I don't reply but I do say on my profile that I'll probably just delete the message if the person sending doesn't have full pics on his/her profile or doesn't send any with the message.
So, if people don't read the profile properly, too bad.

Look at it another way.
If all the people who have up till now demonstrated that they arent interested in you (by not replying), sudddenly mailed you to TELL you they weren't interested, wouldn't the end result - zero interest - still be the same?
So why should it matter how people choose to show their disinterest? |

A well-crafted message should always receive a reply but sometimes a nice, well written reply that's still a 'no thanks' is seen as a 'maybe' by too many guys so I can understand why some people think a one-liner gets the point across more clearly. |

I received a well crafted, witty message from someone yesterday that I didn't respond to.
My profile is hidden, therefore I'd assume someone would take it I'm not meeting for whatever reason.
It appears however, reading some of the responses here, that I should respond with a nice "no thank you" simply because someone has asked to meet me when it's obvious I'm not meeting.
Well fellas, guess what...I deleted without reading as I thought it was rude to contact someone with a hidden orofile!!  |

i try to be polite in all messages but sometimes i have to delete and ignore if the message is offensive etc.
i geta few messages aday some good some bad and some just copy and paste there profile on the message and i think that is so crap, so i dont reply

Sorry but from your point of view its rude but to me as a single fem, I get loads of messages per day and more if am logged in for some time and would take me hours to reply to all with a thanks but no thanks. Think outside your box/world and reaslise that to some it can take hours to reply to all the messages and not leave any time to message the people I actually want to!

There is no way you can tell whether or not the mail was read before or after the recipient deleted it so your moan fails on that point!
You (as in anyone) could also look at it another way, in that the recipient was being polite in not answering your unsolicited mail to them, they could well have been impolite and sent you a mail back telling you to f-off!

before i open a message , i read the profile of the sender and if there nothin that interest me, or is not what im lookin for i delete it i really cant be arsed sittin composing a reply when 2 words sum it up....read profiles!!

in fact there's no way of telling if someone has actually READ an email even if the status says read - it just means that they opened it.
I'm fairly certain that a lot of people are about as good at reading the content of emails as they are at reading people's profiles |

The reason i didnt get back to him was because in my profile it states will only reply to people with full face pictures. So really hes blocked me for his inability to read a profile properly. Oh he did say something about me thinking im really special and its a wonder i ever get a message lol |
