How often has a well intentioned, potentially interesting thread been ruined when the replies turn from being peoples opinion on the subject to being their opinions on the poster.
Hopefully as a fairly new, condom wearing, considerate driver I will escape the "name calling" that I have seen on here.
My opinion is that this site contains a wide cross section of society. Just as everyone has different opinions on the subject, they also have different ways of presenting their point of view and ways of replying when this is challenged. Some will use facts and figures as evidence to support their views and others will attack the poster, by inferring the poster is at fault they suggest that their opinions are wrong too. |

Unfortunately, there is a rack of questions that are posted that will always be emotive and you will see the best and worst of people.
The trouble is, many many times, these Threads are posted to incite a flame war or because someone is bored and wants to bring the forum into disrepute, because they think will will be fun.

Regular contacts with other people should show that we are all different and hold different views, opinions and how we do things. So far we are all allowed to have different thoughts etc and long may it continue.
So I guess there is not much point in saying that their though etc are wrong as they differ from yours, this does not apply to facts that can be proven
