What club is good to go to when want to break the ice into the club scene. Have seen a night called 'break the ice' or is it better to go with another couple and let them show you around.
Or is it better to go to a couple only night or a night of choice like BBW or a fetish night |

A lot depends on the club you want to use.

I don't know the Townhouse but I'd recommend Chameleons.
If you can go with someone then brilliant but if you go on your own, just remember....
Don't be shy, make the efort to talk to people and tell the staff you are new to the club, you will find them extremely helpful.

Don't do couples night then.
If you go to a mixed night, there is nothing to say that you have to play with singles.
And it tends to be a much more relaxed atmosphere.
We never do couples nights and we always have a blast. |

I find it hard to believe that people turn thier backs to you and ignore you when you talk to them, do they just totally blank you and pretend you didn't speak to them ? do they sorry I don't want to talk to you ? do they just tell you to go away ? I am really curious to find out why the people you talk to totally ignore you ? |

Townhouse is a great club,we been going for about 3 yrs now and the owners are fab too,they will take time to show you around and everyone is friendly.
Also no pressure to play,you can have a drink chat to other swingers or watch.

Even you have to admit that couples nights at Chams are like one big clicky social sometimes.
You know me, I've been a member since it opened and I struggle on a Saturday. If you are a little shy or unsure of what exactly you are looking for, it's a hard night to know noone.
You've also heard the similar complaints about couples nights, and it's not just one club, it's most of them.
Couples nights do tend to be clicky because the couples that attend, go time after time after time.
I won't go cus it is soooooo unfriendly and thats coming from someone who's in the biggest clique of all...... The Pussy Posse!  |

In 10 years of swinging I have only ever found one club to be cliquey.
Everytime I go to Chameleons and regularly in the past to Utopia I have always made some new friends on the night. OK maybe I am not as shy as some but I think it's wrong to blame any club for being cliquey, people go there to make new friends.
Yes there are regulars who socialise with each other a lot but that doesn't mean they don't want to make new friends and meet new people.
Perhaps clubs are not the place for the shy amongst us but that is not the clubs fault.
If your going to use clubs you have to be prepared to make the first move, open a conversation, be able to say hi to strangers, I know that not everyone can do that and for those who can't you have to accept that perhaps clubs are not the best way forward for you, or accept that you may struggle to meet new people, it must be the same at social events.
Just remember that everyone at a club is looking to make new friends, smile, wink, say hello and you will find it totallys different.
Going to a club and expecting everyone else to approach you is one way and there is nothing wrong with that but if everyone waits for everyone else to make the first move nothing much will ever happen. Saying hello, or "nice outfit" or any other opener doesn't mean you have to or even want to have sex with people it means hello or nice outfit.
We certainly don't go to clubs just for sex we love making new friends there but you have to make an effort the same as you do on here, if not the problem is with the individual not everyone else in the club to go round putting clubs down because your not as outgoing as you might like is just unfair to clubs and could put people off going for the first time for the wrong reason.
My advice to those who want to go for the first time is - be prepared to open conversations or find someone to go there with, we have always offered to take people to the club with us and introduce them to the club scene, to friends and to the staff without obligation, we don't care if you have no photographs, no profile or even have a hidden profile, we will take you for the purpose of helping you get started in the club scene not to play with you. |
