Totally agree with you there,there is a guy on here with a couple profile,he even admitted it to us when we said we had seen his profile pic on internet,he said he was a single guy with couple profile,he thought he would have more luck!!
We have reported him a few times and he still on here!!
Guys like that really do give genuine single guys a bad name. |

lol was just chatting to one on msn, I was sent some really sexy pix, so asked them to activate their web cam, he reply's I don't have a web cam, but msn says you have one! there's even a pic up in the top left corner of msn, he replays oops! bye. haha!

Don't let them get you down - they're very easy to spot - recent profile - not pic verified - either no pics or very sexy girl pics - also check out the interestes - usually a give away as well as not usually what a single fem would be in to - just play with them - it's fun! Z |

Fakers / time-wasters, they're all the same, all part of the course I'm afraid, let me give you an example, we were recently contacted by a “couple” showing an interest in us, I checked their profile:
They don't meet smokers – we're smokers
They don't accommodate – neither do we
They claim their straight = we 're a MM couple
They claim due to time-wasters they've now inserted a code within their profile to be quoted when contacting them – so do we, did they quote ours? NO!!
See, we all suffer the time-wasters / fakers. |

So is there anything we can all think of to stop all these fakers and time wasters?
I know this site is free and therefore has its limitations, but there has to be something that we can do to stop or maybe slow them down?
What do other sits have in place to prevent this subject from being an big issue? |

If it is a single male pretending to be a couple I guess he is hoping on the day of the meet he could say his wife/partner was ill or something. Then he would hope you would still go ahead with the meet.

Friend on another site was talking to a "woman" for two weeks. Exchanged photos but "she" never spoke on the phone. Arranged to meet outside the Criterion restaurant in town for dinner and there was a man standing there.
The delusional fool actually turned up!!! 
Had sent picture of himself in womens clothes. My friend was furious and threatened his "date" with physical harm. He showed me the pic: how he didn't realise is beyond me, and what he couldn't answer: why did he still have "her" pic on his phone?!!  |

It is a shame that not more people use the forums as the likes of this thread might shame some of them to stop.
But all you can do is do as many checks as you can on initial chat/ contact, and if your gut screams to you that it is a male,tell them so, block, and report if there is any proof in mails on the site.
If they don't get the attention they are wanting, they might give up. |

ruggers .. we have reported a few in our time on here; tend to hotlist them first then monitor to see when/if their profile has changed from couple to single - but not all do get changed
(though before peeps throw their various exlanations in) ..
we do ONLY report those that (a) make it clear in their messages that they are only single, and (b) those whose profile is clear they are single = in either case whether they male or fem = but on as a couple |

I can honestly say I have never had a problem with them sad twats that they are !!! maybe I am just lucky.
As for the cam thing dont have one.... had gave it to my son up to now never had the need for one!!!! maybe that has something to do with the fact that I am genuine.
Some of the saddo's out there should try being genuine sometime. |

Well, a single guy pretending to be a woman may very well not target you - tends to be couples and single fems - but hey, like i said ealrier, i like the sport, we have a lot of fun so these idiots don't reallt detract us from that so no real harm done! |

I personnaly report loads of the buggers
If i spot a dodgy person i report them with around a 90% profile removel rate so admin are working hard on here but if you dont work with them then dont moan about the fakes.
They cant do everything. we do need to help sometimes ya know as all this is rather free so get sorting the site out for yourselves.

Surely getting round this problem is fairly simple by not accepting members until they are photo verified and in the case of couples they need to have a pic of them together holding up a Fab sign.

Personally we don't believe that there is, or ever will be, a way to prevent this happening, other than continuing to use the REPORT link on the profile that we deem to be suspicious ..
After saying that we reported a 19yr old female profile which clearly dislayed a picture that had to be a bloke in drag (He looked like one of the 'women' from the Bounty kitchen roll advert on TV) and the profile is still there, so there ya go ! |

iv never actually been photo verified 
but i do have pics under private and also if i know i def want to meet someone i use msn i dont cam but have mugshot pics on there! i also dont give out my phone number unless im 120% sure im goin to meet!
it can be difficult for a genuine single female too because of guys posin as women!! xx |

It's never going to stop so why lose any sleep over it.
Spot them, ignore them and move on, it really is as simple as that |

Ive been accused of being fake lol as i would not go on cam. Some bloke saw my pic being used elsewhere ( i have modelled and some are on the net) and accused me of being a bloke, he got quiet nasty about it despite the fact that i had over 20 verifications clearly stating i was female lol |

The cynic in me also thinks that why would the site owners be too diligent in this matter.
My limited understanding of these things is that the money they make from the various advertisers on the site is based on the amount of hits the site gets, more hits = more money, so a site with plenty of sill's/multi's/liars/cheats etc etc is actually very good for business |

i think that if a profile is found to be fake on here, then they should have an ip adress ban put on that person, if they can do that. the amount of times ive come accross the same person using different profiles is ridiculous. its funny how they use different profiles but use the same msn address. as soon as i add them to msn and see that i already have them blocked i know they have been a fake. i report the profiles, but they always seem to come back. |

But as has been said many times in the past, you can ban an IP address till ya blue in the face, but as most folk use a dynamic IP it makes not one jot of difference because it continually changes.
Even if they used a static IP, it can still be changed by their ISP if requested ... |

There was one such profile in the chat room last night! We had chatted in the room for a while and then he announced that she left him 8 months ago! And the pic he has is of a woman!
I can understand that in a breakup it may take a few weeks to change the profile, but 8 months??? |

Dont have photo verifcation but am always on cam being the female people tend to think that I am single as the male does not appear very offen but he has on profile which has been verifed by mods when we are both on it and his says that he is the other half of hippes and that the only pics are on the hippes profile. |

We are a genuine couple and also fed up with guys who claim to be a couple, can usually pick them out but in relation to your webcam theory, our msn says we have got one but we haven't, no time for cyber sex and we prefer the real thing antway lol |

The daft thing is we are happy to chat on the phone, send an up to date face pic and meet in a public place but the thought of going on cam or being asked to go on cam as part of this process simply puts us right off.

lol You would have to get your kit off and all start playing for it to be cyber, so yes, very bizzare to think showing your face on cam is cybersex.
When we first started playing we did it mainly as we lived closer to a lot of family and friends, and didn't want to meet someone for a meet not knowing who they were.
Along the way we have found it saves us time also. Some people don't look like their pics, one man looked 16 when he said he was 30, another looked more like my grandad did rather then being 40. Another looked like my nephew, which would have been creepy.......it just saves time for us to all show face, fully dressed on cam  |

Found another one today - 1 mail with msn addy, normally we ignore them but hell she was cute, added to msn and the total conversation from "her" was.

Mind you, profiles listed as "single females" which then go on about how they never meet without their partner etc are just as bloody annoying!
I mean, why add yourself as a single if your only going to play as a couple?
Has been interesting reading this thread though as a lot of your "sure fire ways to spot" a faker would apply to us.
I (the male) deal with the initial contact, our MSN says we have a cam but we don't on my computer (do on hers though), we cant always speak on the phone right at that moment (four kids and interests and friends outside of swinging mean quite often one of us is out while the other baby sits) and no - although she will chat with you on MSN once I have established you are the kind of person we are looking for, she doesn't enjoy lots of dirty chatting!
As a result - not met a lot of people!!
Though we are both photo meet verified anyone looking at us might well think we are fake or time wasters but the honest answer is we have our own way of doing things, which a lot of people don't like, so we don't get a lot of meets.

It works both ways though, for every meet I have enjoyed with guys (some really great meets over the last few years) I have had dozens of dreamers, but I just accept it as part of this game we call swinging and get on with things.
We all know too well that swinging on the internet is plagued by timewasters, dreamers, and fakes....it's how you deal with it and accept it as a downside of the lifestyle that matters. |

I got a mail from a "couple" yesterday wanting to meet up, description of the male sounded very nice but the female was kinda strange and I did reply to ask if they were just FB's (cos we don't meet FB's), but got a somewhat indignant reply saying they were in a long term relationship.
She was:
18 yrs old
size 14
5ft 4ins
Black
In itself she is not very strange, but 3 weeks ago I got a mail from the same "couple" with the same description of the male but the female was
39 yrs old
size 8
5ft 7ins
White
And was also in a long term relationship with the guy ?
No pictures and no verifications of course despite the profile being on the site for 9 months.
I sent both mails to Admin using the report button for them to investigate
The profile was immediately suspended and today the whole profile was deleted, I guess the "couple" couldn't satisfy Admin |

Sadly some women don’t help the situation by being in too much of a hurry to have a couples account with some guy they don’t really know that well.
No I don’t mean any of those where two forumites have got together and genuinely have a real life relationship… before anyone starts on that.
I mean the single fems who give up their singles profiles to be a couple with someone they have shagged (him usually keeping his own singles account just in case). Him mailing with the couples account (probably coz he thinks it’s an easier foot in the door) asking to meet as a couple… and oh a genuine couple… then when you’ve been chatting and say “actually I don’t think we’re looking for the same thing” (for whatever reason – I have to be careful on that one lol) he says something like “oh we’re not really a serious couple, I think this account was a mistake… have a look at my singles account… would you meet just me”
The biggest laugh is when the initial pm’s remain and all the “what about just me on my own” get deleted
