my point is this seems to be a very taboo subject within swinging which to me is ironic as swinging is taboo in mormal society , i know people who have done this , and as far as aswers go thats fine im just asking not to be judged for asking a question , just curious about how honest people would be and their general thoughts on it . |

How can you say it is taboo when there are literally hundreds of replies to this question in numerous threads in the forum and when almost everyone on the site ticks the "SAFE SEX" box on thier likes and dislikes.
There are a small number of people who like bareback sex and they generally have this stipulated on thier profile, if you really want to see a list of who they are take a look at my block list which also includes anyone they have played with too |

I think what the OP is getting though is why bareback is not listed as an interest? Its omission makes it MORE difficult, therefore the assumption has to be if safe sex is not listed, they play bb and are to be avoided. |

My advice is to do as we do and take the time to go through those who are into bareback and block them so you dont run the risk of ever meeting them if you dont want to play with those who do.

you are right, there is nothing wrong with any debate.
Even if the subject has been done before, you may not have seen it, you may not have been posting on the forums at the time to see it, you may well want to start another.
The only time a mod will steer you to another thread is if the subject is already live on another thread.
If you do want to read other threads on the subject the search button should bring some up. |

Why are so many people on here looking for the bad in people.
Someone asks a question, you try to help by directing them towards previous threads where the subject has been discussed, you search out the threads for them but some people see that as a bad thing.
Most of the time, when someone asks a question previously covered in threads they get nothing but a torrent of abuse with comments like "same old same old" or "here we go again", I tried to be helpfull so the abuse came my way.
Y'know what, stuff your forums and your stalinistic views that everyone is out to get you, I have better things to do with my time. |

I don't play bareback and for some of my meets there's no penetrative sex involved at all. However how can you be certain everyone you play with is as careful as you?

That is not only paranoid to an ultimate level, it is also incredibly disrespectful to all those you block without ever even asking the question. Believe it or not, people are quite capable of independant thought and action, such as using condoms even if someone they are playing with doesn't always. Using the condom can break argument is ridiculous, but that risk is there regardless of their friends list or verifications. You have no way of knowing who they have been with outside of this site, so if you really want to be safe the only options are abstinence, or insisting on a current std test. Everything else is just an excuse, or illusion. |

Just thought we would reply to this. We have been swinging a fair few years now and have had meets where we have gone barebackand also ones where we use condoms, we both regularly get checked for STIs as we are quite open with our doctor what we do.
Its personal choice, we dont chastise anyone when they mail us asking for a meet but they both prefer bareback!!!!

This is just sheer arrogance and stupidity, I think you will find the ones that advertise they like bareback etc will prob be more regularly health checked than people who dont.
On another forum this debate was brought up and it was found most people who played "safe" never bothered getting checked for STI's from there doctor as they didnt see the point as they eliminated risk!!!! Are these people not more of a risk to your health???

we do both bareback and safe depends on the people we meet and how we feel.
But i can rest assured me and nicky regularly go to our docs and have a sex MOT so to speak and have never had any nasty surprises so far. Id would rather go bareback with someone who has the dececny and responsibilty to regularly check themselves than go safe with someone who has never.

Sounds a bit silly, after all, blocking them will only mean they're off your radar, you wont/cant see who they are now meeting so the "better safe than sorry" goes out the window once you've blocked them.

From time to time these forums throw up some really interesting topics, and this is one of them.
Not so much with regard to the actual subject but the fact that it highlights that none of us has all the answers. Some of the posts sounded sensible and fair comment until somebody later came along looking at it from another angle and putting forward another point of view which personally, made a lot more sense than the previous one.
