Making certain body types 'not normal' is what divides society and fuels low self esteem. We all have different body shapes and have a right to choose without worrying about judgement from others. Anyone making comments about other people's bodies or physical appearance in general, probably needs to do some self reflection and heal the inner demons that are being reflected onto others. |

Fat, yes I'm fat. Is it a norm for society? Well depends on how it's looked at. Are we getting more and more like America, or is our lifestyle different than our predecessors? I think the answer to both is yes. We have adopted American eating habits, and yes our lifestyles are far more sedentary than before. Technology makes life easy.
On the other hand, a person may be biologically affected, or has things wrong with them that makes it difficult to lose the weight.
In my case, service injuries has not helped me, and from going from an active life to almost non existent, it can very soon change despite lifestyle choices and trying to keep atop of it.
However, stereotyping anyone's shape size etc shows how shallow some folk actually are. Do you see them for who they are or what they look like?
Does a BBW attract you? or do you see them as fat? I think most won't comment on that, but if a blokes big the same attraction does not exist and they are labelled fat, at least from my experience on here.
When you find yourself on the other hand, you tend to look at things in a different light, and see folk for what they are. I no longer judge a person on their appearance, because you just never know what lies beneath or what that person has been through. I possibly did before, but I have learnt from that.

I'm fat, but can still run long distance.
Lift more than most men can
And don't gourge myself on everything I see.
Sometimes fat is just fat
There is still a hell of a lot of other body shapes in this world.
I don't think 1 bog standard will ever be normal. Or take over from the other.
It's just once you start looking for something.(fatties) It's all that stands out to you.
Me and my blubber don't mind being counted among the jiggling masses

"Is it the norm now is society? "
Anyway, it's interesting, so I'll have a go!
Is it now the norm? So, a few years ago, I noticed that more and more people were getting "unhealthy".
I've noticed in the past 2 years though that people are getting "healthier". This improvement, in my opinion because of the measures that the British government has put into place and education. My honest opinion is that the majority of people are trying to get healthier.
If you look at the root cause of the problem, it's an imbalance between eating and exercise. It's nothing to do with "my mediation" as some people will have you believe.
It all boils down to a protective system that's designed to keep animals alive. When we eat, excessive sugars and fats get converted int fats and stored around the body. If the body needs to work and doesn't have the energy from food, it burns off the fat that's stored around the body. Over 1,000 years ago when food may have been scarce, and when life was hard, this was probably a life-saver.
Now though, life is not hard for many and there's no shortage of energy. People simply eat too much "energy" without a use for it.
What you're going to get here though are defensive comments about body shaming and so on. Ultimately, people can eat whatever they like and be whatever size they want and that's fine. A lot of people are struggling with eating habits, depression, lack of motivation and so on, and it fucks them up. It's just one of those things.

Being open-minded and more liberal, breaking tge boundaries set by normies is what I thought the lifestyle community is about. I guess it's optional.
I'm sure some fat normies are posting at this very minute about how people engage openly in sexyal deviance and invite other people into their marital bed, destroying the very fabric of society with their sexual preferences and practices! |

Nothing personal legitimate question after all.
Obesity costs the NHS around £6.5 billion a year and is the second biggest preventable cause of cancer. |

It’s pretty much a fact that yes obesity is on the rise. 25% of people are obese and an additional 40% are overweight. So that’s 65% of the population.
It’s a tricky subject because people take it so personally. But yes, people need to lose weight and stop trying to justify it.
It’s in everyone’s interest, but especially of benefit to that person who needs to lose weight.
The excuse of medication is valid for those who that impacts - but that’s thought to be only around 20% of that group.
It’s time we all had those tough conversations with one another. I know I could do with trimming down after a rather inactive few years. |

You have to consider that some people have medical problems that makes it hard to lose weight and bad genetics I do come under both those categories but I have lost 7 stone in the last 7 years still a big girl but getting there.
My medication makes it hard for me to lose it but I've still managed to drop a stone in 2 months |

Our inherited genetics decide what basic shape we are but then we can help or hinder our body mass as we grow. Americans eat a vast amount of beef which contains growth promoters and antibiotics hence they put weight on quickly thankfully our beef hasn't had either of those additives in 50 years,.
When I was younger I was a school governor and a playtime the children would all be out in the playground running , football , hopscotch and a game with elastic, you don't see that now once computers came on the scene the children were more content to sit inside at playtime. I am a farmer and I sell meat through a farm shop and the number of times I've heard parents discussing whether they should have sirloin steak or fillet steak and then they'll turn and say and we'll get some burgers for the children at Morrisons on the way home is there any wonder their children are overweight we still have to educate the parents, |

Absolutely 100%. Similar circumstances through my injuries and current medical issues. It's not all about what so called experts say above. Although there is truth in their writing for the majority. Exceptions are there and to do what is advised above. It's kinda difficult when the world's stacked against you without complications that prevent you. Again pre judgement by those that are unaffected on all cases.
Well done on losing the weight, it's extremely hard. Proud of ya. I've shifted a stone so far too, and hopefully continuing going forward.

People who just can't go to the body type they prefer and leave those they don't alone is just crazy... If it isn't for you it isn't for you.
Meanwhile they are masturbating to BBW housewife porn angry that no one's fabs their hidden 4 inches. |

Yes society is tracking fatter/heavier thats a noted fact ... also people are getting taller bigger built each generation .
I think there needs to be a big push into more healthy eating and promoting fitness /exercise for society in general starting from childhood .. the amount of overweight kids between around 7 - teens I see each time I goto supermarket/shopping is pretty sobering . |

I wonder if people think that fat people want to be or enjoy being fat I know I bloody well don't and knowing that being big inhibits us in lots of ways is no way to live fat people didn't ask to be fat or big built we also get a lot of hate for our size and judgement.
Maybe consider people's feelings |

Supportive convos about obesity and exercise and healthy eating i can cope with. There should be more done around these topics especially cost effective healthy eating and accessible exercise - park runs, exercising tagged on to the work day like the Japanese do it etc. also some people like being bigger especially if its making them money or boosting their self esteem. |
