I think it's something that needs to be discussed with the person/people you're meeting.

For us is pretty anything bar vaginal/anal penetration of anyone who is not your partner.
In practice the scale of we do or don't do with others really depends on how things flow naturally, what the feeling is and their specific boundaries. 95% we're soft swing. But we don't really have labels or expectations other than to share a good time whatever happens and works for all. |

We dont have much experience with this and thought that soft swinging was basically having sex in the same room as another couple.
So its interesting to see that play between partners without "penetration" is considered soft swinging.
Yeah seems like the discussion before any meet with the words soft in them need boundaries to be discussed.

I always thought it was anything apart from penetration including oral. If there's no oral what's left to do? Soft swing to us just means people that don't swap partners and are more interested in the voyeurism. Some seem to suggest they don't mind the women sucking off each other's partner, but that can't be taken as a given. |

The debate is interesting and totally confirms why don't really use labels to describe what we're into. Soft swing doesn't mean the same for everyone. Far better just to say what we do or dont.
In practice we find a lot of the sorting out between everyone with want everyone will do and won't do just gets sorted out in the flow of things. It's all about everyone reading the room and communicating with each other. We often find what we will and won't do fluctuates depending on who we're with and the vibe anyway. |

there is no one way to soft swing its down to whats agreed between couples we know couples whos idea of soft swing is same room play ie you play with your own partners and just watch ... you cant make it a one label fits all like you can with other acts / kinks its an open book ... as others have said should be discussed to what level ... ie theres no real definition |
