Different stockings...

We all know and love standard black sheer stockings, but does anyone also love something a bit different? A particular colour or style or pattern? Looking back over the porn images from the 70's there seems to have been a much wilder selection of styles. |

I remember the delightful hosiery depts in the Dept Stores of the day, Debenhams and House of Fraser etc … the choice and style’s available was wonderful.
I think today, whilst hosiery is less available on the high street, you don’t have to look tooo far to find what you want online. My hosiery draw has a great selection of styles, colours and deniers of stockings and tights, that I choose as the the mood … and opportunity  takes me xx

OP is certainly right! These days, it's largely seamed, fishnets or plain.
You can tell a 1970s photo just from the very specific style of fishnets being worn - not entirely sure what made them 70s stockings, but they were as tied to the era as the accompanying blue eyeshadow!
About 20 years ago, there was a push to bring a new variety of stockings become vogue, which were described as "Whale-Nets", having the size of holes in them associated with a chain-link fence.
Bloody awful - it's a good job they hit the sawdust. |

Black with lace tops in black or red are always winners, but S did a photo shoot with sheer stockings and coloured tops. These looked great so we did some lingerie shopping and got a few coloured sets, which are in our latest photos and look great.
It's hard to find sets as many online show a model in a full coloured set but then you can't actually find the stockings for sale.
Still looking for a complete yellow, orange and pink set. |

I love white stockings and tights but these days they are only really worn as bridal wear
Those 80's episodes of Top of the pops on BBC4 are good for them

I adore sheer stockings on a woman. Black, tan or white are my favourite. Contrast seams also a favourite. Also really love sheer seamless tights without knickers!
