So I've been on this site for about 3 years but I had my first meeting in January this year 
but I have seen there seem to be a lot of men on the site
but very few ladies and couples joining this site

I don't know why there are more men than women or couples. I can hazard a guess but in general it seems to me that a lot of men have fairly unrealistic expectations but stay in the hope that they'll achieve something. Women and couples also have unrealistic expectations but mostly leave when they realise they're unlikely to be met |

I think this is the case, at least for many of the men.
I also think this is the reason that there's so few women. I suspect they get bombarded by messages as soon as they join and many then decide its not for them.

It's a free site, loads of men join, alot are dreamers or timewasters. Hence us having a bad reputation, if it costs nothing to join people don't care |

I first joined a few years ago and left very quickly as I was overwhelmed by the behaviour of men and couples.
A few months later I rejoined and discovered the message filters so I had more control.
I have been in fab off and on now. I often leave because I an sickof the way too many men treat women on here.... we are thinking feeling human beings. Yes I am here to enhance my sex life but I have standards that I will not lower and I choose carefully the very small number of people I occasionally play with..
I am not a porn star or a sex worker and I don't owe anyone anything on here least of all anyone that wants to use me as wank material or is happy to get their dick wet in any old hole. |

Don't blame you to be honest.
Clubs are the best way to meet people.
No ping pong messaging for weeks or even months on end, for it To go no where.

This is.purely my opinion
The vast majority of men here have found out about fab and assume that it is an easy hook up site and everyone is gagging for it.
There are less couples because as a dynamic it is not as common as a single guy looking to hook up.
Single femalea I cannot speak for. |

because men cant help but broadcast to all there mates about this site even tho they themselves are getting nowhere hence so many men ... also there are far less couples and women than you really think because of men faking accounts ...
i know quite a few couples whom no longer meet via online or indeed go online private parties are bigger now than they have been for alot of years ...
and then take into account how many have lft the online scene due to constant rubbish messaged or abuse ... and as someone has already said couples and women generally swing most men just want to empty their balls ..and thats not swinging ... i can see it going more and more private and underground as u==it is doing now to avoid the mass of idiots where men only get invites if they are well known like in the old days...
if 99% of men left the site there would still be to many for most i only meet men from online but in truth i dont need to go on line i could have sex everyday many times aday with men ive had contact with over the last 30 years and i get no drama or abuse from them ....

We already have AI capable of creating art, books, music and it's even developing into movies, it's not inconceivable that it may eventually be able to do the same with personalities, I've read plenty of articles and watched videos suggesting it may already be in the early stages of doing exactly that. |

When I joined, luckily I’m thick skinned & ignored my inbox for about 2 weeks, then bulk deleted, it was very overwhelming & didn’t realise there were filters, I almost deleted but just read & read & read, the forums & club reviews got me through it |

That's basically how the human mind works in it's simplest terms, we ingest information from our surroundings, compare it to what we've already learned and come to conclusions based upon what we're experiencing.
Some are better at doing this than others of course, and the refining process for computer programming is a lot more strict. |

There is a big difference between AI and an artist who can think critically, make value judgements, and come up with genuinely new ways to show the world to people.
AI will not be capable of that any time soon. I doubt in my lifetime, if ever. |

That is such an interesting question and I've wondered this myself. I don't know what Fab's statistics on M vs. F members for all we know there may be more women members but for sure, many more men seem to be online at any given time
Speaking as a woman, I've initiated sex countless times so I guess I don't fit in the traditional male-seeking-female role BUT .....it's TRUE that men have to "compete" more than us for sex
I suspect the reason is evolutionary. In ancient times, "strong" men got to shag women and produced "strong" kids so there was survival benefit. Over millennia SOCIETY adopted the idea that women didn't have to do anything as men would "fight" for them and "woo" them. So society learned that the "norm" was for women to wait for the men to compete and so fast forward to modern times - girls get sex partners with little effort so many don't have any need to be on Fab. Guys OTOH are fighting the fight and so explore all avenues including Fab. Hence number of men here is LIKELY way more than women (Fab should put out statistics LOL)
Now mind you, if there were less men than women the REVERSE would be happening. I think some war-torn countries actually have more women than men so girls have to compete for a mate |

What you define as 'new' is a matter of perspective, you can bake a new cake recipe for example, but the ingredients won't be, and the flavour you're looking to achieve is likely inspired once more by something you've already tasted.

You're both losing yourselves in convoluted b*ll*cks. Maths is not the basis for AI, at least in the traditional computing sense of algorithms. Probabilistic methodology (i.e. Best guess) is what makes AI different. It looks at a bunch of input data, sees the request and then makes the best inference. That's why genAI input can be so ropey (missing or extra fingers etc). My advice is to spend some time with someone who was using and building AI models years before ChatGPT. M. |

I suspect we have different definitions of “new.”
And art, literature, etc, is not made by maths. Perhaps that’s what people who think that AI can create works of art are missing.

I’m not in any way an expert on AI or the like but that’s how I’ve always understood what I’ve read about it. The fantasy is that it’s going to take over but in reality it’s like any tool, without a skilled operator it’s useless.

I think the reason there are not more single women is because there can't be bothered to put up with some guys. |

They do get tons of terrible mesaages, so decent messages do get lost.
