Hello G+G

I have been on this site and a few others for many years and with varying degrees of success. So dont imagine I'm a dusgruntled Newbie

I recently Checked out a site called "Local Slags" and excercising caution I took up their 3Day trail. My winks and messages were returned by the moderators as having been filtered out by the intended recipient So I blasted off winks and messages at random and All came back with the same response from the Moderators Or " Support Team" It gets better!I then found my Girlfriend/Swinging partners profile on the site with pictures that I had Taken

She was Apoplectic with rage at being displayed on a site that she Never joined, and I have seen Profiles from other Fab Ladies on there! So obviously the next step was to send my own GF a message and wink...Guess what..according to the "Support Group" her filter settings did not allow for me to Message her, even though our preferences are contiguous.I then sent a message to the site to cancel my membership and Delete my profile, They only work Business hours and Have taken a months subscription which I could't stop..citing that I should have given Prior notice. My credit card Co found a UK no for them and I rang this morning ..They put the phone down on me!! This Site charges Men £40.00pcm to hook up with Girls they will Never be able to Chat with or even wink at The site is run by Global Personals and I would be Glad to hear from anyone with Similar experiences. We may All lead Alternative lifestyles But I thought we were in it for Fun . This Site, POF and others Do Work and we can live out our fantasies without being financially ripped off!! Lets keep it that way and work together to expose these sites who

May be "Obtaining money by Deception"

That used to be a Crime in my Younger days ...Happy Swinging ..Terry

You pays your money you takes your chances.

Maybe research a company you've never heard of first before giving them your bank details

I feel sorry for the females who've had their details taken but ive got no sympathy for anyone gulible enough to waste money on these kind of things which are quite clearly fakes.

Hope your friend gets her photos taken down!

'Local Slags' - with such a elegant name you surely would expect so much better I suppose

Always read the small print.

There are contact sites out there that specify that you waver all rights to your personal details and images, such that they may legally reproduce them, edited if they so choose, on other websites.

They have no interest in you meeting anyone or not, it is only there to make money for the owners.

Websites are all about numbers (members) and traffic (members logging in) which = revenue.

ALWAYS read the small print.

A similar thing happened to me a few years ago, not that site though. Swingers type site, 1 month membership, but I cancelled within 2 weeks yet they took money anyway. Every complaint I sent got the same vague reply and no refund. Robbing cunts!

£40 a month! Ya havin' a laugh. Who's got £40 a month spare these days let alone being able to spunk it away on trying to cop a shag.

I do - being gullible wasn't a crime last I remember. Fraudulently getting money from people is though.

Really can't understand the extreme attitude that so many people seem to hold , which is : if you are stolen from , yet you did not lock it ,protect it , read all the small print , realise you are being conned , then you deserve to be stolen from.

whether the con he fell for was in other eyes obvious .he was still conned ie stolen from . A horny man is vulnerable and it sounds like the web site broke the law

i would suggest , a bit daft mate but thanks for the heads up ,the thieving x x x x s

i just wonder why so many are SO hard on the one stolen from yet say nothing about the low lives that take advantage of the vulnerable x

Lol, i had a similar incedent with a credit card and the internet about 10 yr ago, suffice to say the site spanked my card for about 3 months worth of membership in a day and i had to get the card company to stop it. They told me to put it in writing, so i whipped up a letter on the pc and word decided to highlight the url in bright blue on the printed copy "anal butt sluts", couldn't be arsed to change it, so i sent it off anyway......lesson learned

So are you not worried about your profile being put on there without your knowing?

O o O oo

Wow some harsh replies.

To the OP, hopefully you reported the site as they sound like a rip off.

It isn't your fault you fell for a scam, no matter what people say, but hopefully you won't fall for it a second time.

Thanks for the info, Im sure it will help some people, shame that sites like that are allowed to exploit others.

When couples and single fems start to complain that their pics and profiles have been stolen.

You can always claim "well I told you so"

Thanks for the warning, and hope you get them back mate.

A salutory tale indeed.

What is more concerning is how the offending site got details of Fab members? I have always been concerened by "couple" and "female" profiles that appear to want massive amounts of details of Fab members before they even consider a response; and then block you.

The rude/uncaring responses of some are sad and not recognising the service this chap was doing for fab members when he wrote of this con. He could have said nothing, saved his embarressment and let others fall into this trap.

We started on another site ages ago, couldn't get on with it and deleted the profile two weeks later we found it on another site ( our pics everything we had said) it turned out that there was one company running ten different sites and they would just use your profile where ever they wished. Alot of phone calls later we managed to get them to delete the profile off ALL there sites. So be warned its easy to fall into that trap

To the OP, ting your card company and tell them you have lost your card, this will stop them taking any more payments, I learnt a while ago that continuous card payment are not cancellable (is that a word?)except by the payee.

I think many on here see single men as equivalent to target practice on the forums.

Only ten sites? I think that would just be the tip of the iceberg. I know a company that claims to have over 3000 swingers or"niche dating sites" as they call them. The OP mentioned Global Personals, well here is an interesting couple of reads about said company

There are quite a few more white label dating companies that operate in the same way and it's big business

Yes I think we were quite lucky it was a mistake that we will never make again but it just shows how easy it is to get ripped off or used for a companies gain
