to us its two different things but coming across a post on a forum someone said its a sex site, so got us thinking has the mentality of the site changed over the years or is it just us,
not to say anyone else is using it wrongly or judging just putting it out there.
To us swinging is a mind set and we like to meet likeminded people, its not about the sex or how many we can sleep with its about sharing experiences doing thing we cant at home, its about the respect of sharing partners or playing with others allowing us all to engage in something thats precious to us and them.

I guess it depends on what your looking for.
We use it as a swing site, couple meeting couple.
But also could use it as a sex site since many single men have contacted us to play just with the mrs. |

We like to attend swingers clubs to use facilities and dont swop or play with others at times, where else can we use dungeon equipmentbeds swings etc swim naked talk to other couples at a bar naked and have sex in front of anyone
so seeing as we arent looking for sex at all times does that make us non swingers then?
and we like to mix with likeminded people so going to vanilla venues isnt always our kind of night out? |

For us it's somewhere to explore sexuality, meet new like minded friends and maybe if that turns into a sexual situation in the future then that would be a bonus. We tend to get put off by the "wanna Fuck" types. But that is just how we use it that doesn't mean we are right lol x  |

Swinging is a lifestyle sex is not the be all and end all. Most single members use it as a sex site. As the site has matured is has more 'single' members looking for sex than swingers looking for social and recreational interaction with others. IMHO the site has lost its way and we use the site purely for the social side of the lifestyle and no longer consider it a means to arrange meets.

That's fair enough , and you're entitled to your opinion , but some of us are very happy to be swinging with couples , and having sex with singles and fab does a fantastic job helping that to happen !

as the name of the site states it was created as a swinging site but like already stated now there are loads use it for casual sex and nothing else, so to round it up its meant to be a swinging site but people will call it what they want, therefore as with most other subjects its a case of each to there own. |

its everything I want it to be based around adults, whether its sex or 'facebook' theres things I just wouldnt discuss on facebook

We've found it to be quite different just in the space of a year or so. When we first signed up it seemed more active with couples. Since joining again it does seem more dating/swinging (or mostly blokes wanking!).
Swingers (the ones who'd understand the lifestyle comment) seem a bit more hidden away on here at the mo. |

Gotta be said a few people on fab can also be found in a well known adult web site selling themselves but hey ho just a case of research so u dont get fooled ! Does make u laugh though when they have strict age restrictions on here but only cash preferences on the other site

I see fab as a support network. Swinging can be frowned upon but here people are less judgmental. you can be yourself and, on the whole, you wont be judged.

I think it depends on your approach really,its an attitude rather than anything else as to what your expectaions are,you hear people moaning when they realise a bit of effort is required that its only a sex site,thats the attitude that makes the word sex site sound like something thats bad,when I don't believe it is
I don't think of myself as a swinger in the conventional sense as in partner swapping but I am pretty much involved with the sense of community and respect for everyone and their preferences,its a site to find fun,im not looking for anything more than that and have been very lucky to meet some fabulous people and make some wonderful friends from playing and from socialising

Call me a hippie but when i first joined the site as a single fem a few years back i thought it was going to be a place for a boho like me to meet other like minded people. Obviously sex does come into it but i just wanted to meet other people who i could be free with my conversation and artistic flow. I quickly realised that swinging was not the lifestyle choice i had romanticised. That is not to knock anyone each to there own. We have found some amazing people on here who have also got a similar mentality to me (and now us) who we meet regulary but dont play with but love the freedom of speech and choice. I guess the answer to the question is whatever you make of it for me/us its a swinging site over and above a sex site.

Thats it exactly.. for us yes okay sex comes into it but its being unrestricted with chat and fun when having a social evening with likeminded open minded people.. where the evening is relaxed and flirting and having fun is not going to bother or shock anyone as it would with others. The sex part is great but a fab night can be had with other swingers without actual sex thats the difference. too many want to chat arrange a meet and be guatanteed sex.. thats not how swinging is thats using as a sex site. maybe we should make it clear on our profile how we see the site. ie swinging not guaranteed sex. one message said "when are you next free" think that one thought it was a different site again..lol the third option .. alot think that too.. |

The question should be why try and compartmentalise things and why do we need to label an activity and put boundaries in. Fab is what it is and in the main a site where people can organise fun with like minded people. |
