Because they want to take a break and stop new messages. I do it periodically when I just can’t be bothered.

I should have said when I don’t want new messages. It stops people who I’ve never spoken to before from messaging.

Yeah that’s bloody annoying! To my mind if you’ve hidden your profile it’s cos you need a break not to try and be a creep because that’s what it feels like.

i find it nearly always someone who's looked at my profile that has their profile hidden. so frustrating lol. i just don't get why you would be on the site at all if you're going to hide your profile

There are many obvious reasons to hide your profile... winking from a hidden profile on the other hand has no logic whatsoever.

I sometimes hide mine, but when I do, I don't come on line,

It's annoying when someone messages me with a hidden profile, as I can't "see" them, I just delete their messages, I like to be able to "see" who I'm talking to

Ive actually just hidden mine as i got 5 stupid messages in a few minutes and just not in the form tonight. Sometimes I like to come on just for the forums or to look at the men online myself without having to reply to messages.

Exactly the reason I hide mine and hide if I had a recent cam session... no I don't want your WhatsApp or to see you cum

I can't speak for everyone but I'm having a far more pleasant experience as a blank silhouette. I've got more control. I don't get a million messages a day and can just approach anyone that catches my eye. Then I'm more than happy phoning/sending pics/meeting up so they can decide if they're interested. I wouldn't just wink though as, yeah, that's pointless.

We hide when we're feeling overwhelmed with life or mental health stuff, then our messages whittle down to just friends etc asking if all is okay x
