Smokers vs None smokers

We find that a good 1/2 of the peeps we meet that have "none smoker" on there profile actually do indeed smoke and will light one up when they see we smoke.
So was wondering?
Do you think thats unfair to none-smokers to hide it and can none smokers still tell if a smoker after they have had a bath, cleaned teeth and so on?
Ourselves, even though we smoke, think its unfair to not say.
What do you think?

I should imagine they could tell if you were a smoker.
I am amazed how many people say they wont meet smokers, yet contact them, then when you point out you are a smoker, invariably the reply is...well actually we dont mind considerate smokers! |

Yes a non smoker can tell even when bathed and teeth cleaned. For me its a bigger issure than not liking to meet with smokers cos of smell or taste but cos I have an allergy to tobacco so can end up being ill when I have been lied to. Does mean I miss out though on all those fab people that do smoke  |

I use to have, will not meet non smokers on my profile, it just saves the hassle.
I smoke, terrible habit but I do. I can also go a few days without having one if im in a considerate mood, but if someone wants to meet me, then they meet me and my filthy habit lol.
I think you should be honest about it though. Honesty is always the best policy. |

i would say nearly all people would change what they have stated they are looking for on their peofile if it means getting a meet, every guy who has messaged me who state they dont meet smokers have said they will when ive pointed out i smoke, every guy who has messaged me has said they will meet someone my age when i have pointed out im not in the age range their profile states they are looking for, every couple has said the guy does play alone when i have pointed out it says on their profile they only meet as a couple lol i dont know why half the profiles on here dont just say...will meet anyone lol |

We only a couple of weeks ago had a message from a guy that had actually announced on his profile that he don't meet none smokers as filthy habit yet when we pointed it out, he said he actually smokes.. whats that all about!?
I think if we was none smokers and only met other none smokers, and someone turned up smelling of smoke, we would be deeply pissed of and tell them to sling there hook lol

Would also be interesting to know..
If you was meeting up with a none smoker in your home and you smoked yourself, would you not smoke in front of them?
We tend to spray air freshener around just before the meet and smoke away from them.

I dont smoke in the house because my daughter doesn't smoke (I wouldn't smoke in the house anyway) I never smoke in a none smokers home even if they say I can, I prefer to go outside |

Well i dont think you can beat this one re; non smokers -v- smokers. A couple on cam in chat room other night were lighting up but after checking their profile it says they NON SMOKERS but you could tell they were cos they had fag in mouth and hands lol. i must admit it did make me laff tho x |

haha, surly they didn't expect to get away with that
I think there is hell of a lot more smokers than we think on the site, i wonder if any none smokers make out the are smokers to get a meet?

A smoker is a smoker even if they are not smoking right then.
A person who is in a relationship (married/living) is not single.
A bi person is still Bi if they play with straight people.

We say we don't meet smokers but now and again you get a couple visiting who after playing, say they're going out for a fag. They don't try to light up indoors, fortunately!
Last February one woman kept on popping out wearing just G's short fleece jacket, stockings and heels - no knickers! Still, they were a fun couple! |

Thats very true lol, I'm what they class as a considerate smoker, will use mints etc and not smoke in close proximity, but I do smoke and inevitably during the evening at some point I will have a cigarette.
I'm always honest about my smoking and do mention it if the profile says won't meet smokers.............. x x |

We don't smoke, having given up years ago and we don't meet smokers, we wouldn't meet smokers just 'to get meets' and if we met someone who said they were a non smoker and they were, we'd be non too happy and wouldn't carry on with the meet. We just don't like the smell and I'm sure there are lovely people that we've excluded ourselves from meeting! |

i'm a reformed smoker, but i'll still meet smoker's i know how hard it was for me to get off the habit, and i understand that some feel that they can't kick the habit too, as long as they understand that i no longer smoke and i would prefer they don't while at mine i have no problem with meeting smokers |

Well when me and Shaz packed up smoking a few months ago, we could smell someone just as they walked by us in the street and it was horrible, so can understand what it's like for a none smoker.
If we was none smokers, don't think we could meet a smoker to tell you truth.
But as it happens, at this moment in time we chuff away like chimneys so anyone that meets us would have to like or lump it lol

I smoke a lot and if your coming to my home then you just have to deal with it!!so if you hate smoke don't come over!! If i am in someone elses space i respect that i may not be able to smoke indoors and i'm happy with that but be honest about how you feel because if you smoke others can smell it!if it offends just say so! non smokers can tell from a mile away so why lie about it very very silly!!! |

We don't smoke and on our profile it says we won't meet smokers, but that is not set in stone.
As long as they don't want to light up while actually 'in the act' its not a problem. Then again if they need to have a fag just before play then its obvious they don't understand how bad the breath and lingering smell can be to a non-smoker. That would put us off. |

I think this is a very interesting subject myself, as with any bounderies - there are different limits.
I smoke - about 3 a day if i am not out on the lash - roll one on the way into work, on the way home, and one when i sit down with my glass of wine.
If i meet none smokers - i will make sure i have gum. Nerve going to meet someone new will mean i will have one on the drive over there, but will clean my teeth and use gum on arrival (a discrete nip to the loo with handbag and toothbrush/mints.gum)
I always tell people i smoke.
I did go and meet a couple that SMOKED!!! My god - they smoked ready mades that stank much worse than my rollies, and smoked probably 20 each on the evening i was there.
When i got home i stank!!! My hair and clothes were all i could smell. It was yuk.
BUT - it didnt ruin the evening as it was - we still had fun
I sat away from the smoke, and when we were actually playing - they gave the fags a rest.....lol
Just all the fag breaks inbetween!!!! hehehehehe
So its all dependant on preferance, i would PREFER not to meet heavy smokers, but if there were people i really liked and they did smoke alot - then i would give them a chance.
But i smoke.
As a none smoker i can see where you would be immediately put off.
As for the none smokers who are willing to meet me - i would not smoke in their house - and have been invited to homes for a weekend where i have gone without a fag all weekend despite being told i am allowed to smoke- just cos i respect thier home. Well as a non-smoker, I can say without doubt I have no wish to kiss an ashtray or smell the stench that comes from clothing, but having said that if she makes the effort and leaves her clothes outside, I will be more than happy to join her in the shower, and let her suck on a … wait for it … mint.
Cause by then I’ll know she must game for a laugh and will almost certainly have a personality to match.

When we have any meets at all, Shaz always baths and cleans teeth, washes hair and shaves her fanny so she always smells fresh as a daisy but it can get awkward if its a long meet and Shaz wants to nip for a fag 1/2 way through, she will brush her teeth again but I always think, dam bet he thinks she smells like a bonfire now
Anyway, good post debutante, I won't kick your arse, but will slap it if you like! lol

My nanna was like that, throughout her life, never more than 5 a day, and sometimes just didn't bother for days on end.
I think some do actually enjoy smoking the odd one and really are not addicted to it!

What the NON smoker have to realise is.
Its a filthy habit thats extremely hard to break and not for the want of trying in many cases.
Those of us who do also realise what its like for the NON smoker and do our best to consider them to extremes sometimes.
So please have a little consideration for us.
I wouldnt smoke in front of a playmate and hope he appreciates the effort made.
Nerves especially when meeting someone new are always present.
You may want a drink to settle them, we want a fag.
I have tried and tried to stop and will keep trying.
But until then, have a little patience please.
Oh and by the way.
At chams. the busiest place in the place is the smoking deck.
With all sat together

Who says none smokers always have fresh breath, a little consideration after having a ciggie or eatin Garlic etc etc.
You make your own choices and folk just have to respect them, I'm off to get some minty chewies

My preference is for non-smokers. However, Mr. Hot Date smokes with tobacco, and the occasional ciggie. It is one of those "imperfections" that I decided to accept in a playmate |

It does go both ways, non smokers seem to take the high ground at times, I did to be honest when I stopped, if I found someone attractive I wouldn't let the fact that they smoked put me off no more than the fact that they had cheap perfume, nasty jewelery or whatever.

hubby is a smoker and i am not. some of themesg from couples say will not meet smokers. so not sure if they read our profiles first. i wouldnt not meet someone because there a smoker. but eatch to there own i guess. |

Smokers pay approximately £11,000,000,000 (thats 11 billion as my maths is crap) per year in tax. Far more than is spent on smoking related illnesses throughout the medical world!
actually, while I'm on my high horse, we were contacted by a couple this week who's profile categorically states that they CAN'T meet smokers as the lady had asthma.
I duly pointed out that we were smokers.
They replied that as long as we didn't smoke for 3 hours before meeting them, during the meet or while they were in the vacinity then it would be ok.
We said that we would not meet them as they obviously had issues with smokers so to leave it.
They THEN contacted us and stated that they would have to come to our house as they can't accommodate and that they expected us to air the house and make sure there was NO smell, and that they expected us to ensure that our clothes, bed linen and cushions were freshly washed!!!!
I mean, FFS, talk about laying down the law and being over bearing. We had already said we were not prepared to meet them.
To be honest, we don't like meeting non smokers. Most appear to be holier than thou, soap box carrying despots.

Wow some real interesting posts!
We met a guy last night from another site, who states quite loud and proud that he is a none smoker.
Real nice guy, did all the usual, socializing, a drink, the fun.. then he pulls out a huge cigar!
LOL is smoking a cigar not smoking?

We don't meet smokers, end off. It has nothing to with moral high ground or a pious attitude although if anyone wants to seriously debate the rights and wrongs of it, well thats always great fun
Put quite simply we don't like the taste, and on the odd occasion we have played unknowingly with a smoker in a club it simply reinforces that opinion.
We totally accept bad breath is not confined to smokers but for us, and I stress FOR US, smokers taste bad hence given a choice we don't play with them.

Yeah I can understand that, when me and Shaz packed up for a few months, if a smoker came near us it was like ewwww really couldn't stand it lol
I'm a voyeur at the moment, but if was an actual swinger, I would be the same with someone thats just had a drink with alcohol in it, I really can't stand the smell of it on someones breath and makes me want to throw up.
If Shaz has had a drink, I won't go near her so I can understand you with fag smell!
