Why do people ask for yr WhatsApp then block you

Just been conversing with a guy on here the odd email and enquiry to meet for a massage. He then asks shall we WhatsApp and I gave him my details. He said he'd message me in 10 mins. An hour later having just remembered the convo, I check his profile and I've been blocked.

U know who you are and if you come across this thread and read this yr lucky I can't mention yr name and let all know what a complete timewaster you are.

To get your phone number perhaps would never share our number unless we were confident you were real and a non timewaster

Never give out your personal number simples get a cheap pay as you go not a smart phone and use that one only turn it on when needed turn off when done with it we find this works perfect

Yep. This.

We never give out our phone numbers unless we’ve met. Up until then we insist on Kik.

You may be traceable (in the real world) on social media if you used your phone number as an identifier.

I never give my real number.

I have another number just for meets thus give that WhatsApp as a last resort.

I first test people to see if they're up for a phone chat and if so we could use snapchat or Skype.

If they agree then next option is a video chat to verify.

I never ever trust pics they have filters angles and can be stolen from google facebook etc anyway

I only give WhatsApp if no app is an option.

Either way being safe and not a fool to catfishes is the key here no matter how much you feel you click.

I've lost soooooo many potential opportunities here but these are my rules and I stick by them

Kik is your best friend

Trust me someone found me on social media as we did what’s app and then proceeded to tell friends and family via FB. There are horrible people about never ever give your number out take my story as a warning.
