We have been members for about 4 years now. The first time I phoned them about joining they told me that the dress code was "No outdoor clothes".

On my first visit I wore boxers, but most times since then I've worn denim cut offs.

Obviously done dogging and meets at homes etc. Don't know what to expect with clubs, Mrs Artful and myself are unsure of the dress codes and club etiquette/rules.

Confussed me

I'm as body conscious as the next guy so I can see where your coming from but that isn't my issue with the dress code.

It's the fact that women are allowed - and indeed encouraged to express themselves in what they wear, whereas the men are expected to be cloned stunt cocks - expression is frowned upon and we are to wear as little as possible so we can be ready for action at a moments notice.

why can't male swingers peacock a bit? Last time I looked women love men who dress up and make an effort.

Chams are so clueless they can go fuck themselves as far as I'm concerned

does anyone have any comments on the dress code at tease2? because i quite liked the sounds of that place (after a online friend mentioned it) i liked the idea of staying over in the hotel section and enjoying the extra rooms... might give me a chance to talk to the people i might see at the bar before hand, to make a good first impression

but really... Anyone have anything to say about the place?

Thats a bit harsh don't you think? OK, you dislike the dress code, but Xtasia has a different dress code so maybe people who don't like Chameleons can go there. No need to swear is there?

Also, the women might not have the same rules, but we're still likely to wear something that is easily removed for some sexy fun. Full evening dress just isn't going to cut it practicality wise. It really isn't Chams fault that male lingerie hasn't caught on.

The dress code is clearly stated on Chams for all to see, as well as club rules, membership fees and entry fees etc...

One does not have to agree with them, and if he/she does not, he/she has the choice to decide whether to visit/join or not.

Simples!

Blimey, theres no need for that. How about "I dont have the same thoughts as Chams so will take my business elsewhere!"

Personally I hate clubs where everyone is dressed to the nines. I much prefer clubs where people where as little as possible. I can see the point in men / women wearing sexy underwear, but I dont want to go to a fashion show!

You know if Chams weren't so fascistic about what the male dress code should be (at least the last time I checked the website they were rather strident about it - never bothered even visiting the website since then TBH) I might take a more relaxed attitude towards it - and lets face it - if the boot was on the other foot and the women were expected to follow an easy-accesss-to-your-bits-ready-for-action-at-all-time-no-room-for-individuality dress code there would be a lot more objection to it.

so, like I said, chams can go ..........

Considering you seem to think Chams is clueless........ its the most popular and successful club in the country.

They've got it right somewhere don't you think?

**By the way, I've tried other clubs and the last 'dress' club I went to, the women spent most of the night discussing the prices of their dresses, moaning about their feet hurting in 8" heels and showing off their jewellery - Made me feel totally inadequate- two sides to every story mate**

Well my understanding of the dress code at Chams is, you can wear "outdoor clothes" in the bar/lounge area downstairs but in the wet area and upstairs it's dress down to underwear/towels....for both men and women

"calvins are lovely on some of the men. "

emphasis on the 'some' part of that statement

sorry but they do not look good on bigger built fella's

hence why i'd never spend more than a fiver on a pair of underkex

and hence why i'd generally opt for the towel option

that said, as someone else above has said, towel twitchers (i like that term) make me cringe, so you have to take me flaccid or semi and work your magic

No my lovely.

It's no outdoor clothes anywhere in the club.

The parties are a bit of an exception because we do tend to make them fancy dress for those that want to wear a bit more.....

But most people are right. By the end of the night, with a few shags, 3 dips in the jacuzzi and a go in the sauna..... most people are down to nowt or towels.

Now you can't do all that fully

I've only been once, but I liked that the dress code seemed to help it all seem more relaxed and open. Hard to feel intimidated as a newbie if everyone's dressed down.

If there were men wandering round in sharp suits looking like gangsters? Rather less welcoming, I think.

We went to a club once where a guy looked like he'd just stepped out of a Zorro film and his partner was having a hissy fit because she'd snagged her £300 dress on some blokes cock ring and had got a run on the sleeve.........

Actually, Chams takes away the class system I find and puts everyone on an even keel.

As the women can dress as sexy as they want, what is the problem?

At the end of the day, they will probably look as good, if not better, in nice, sexy underwear/club wear, than wearing last years 'style' for the fashion snobs to laugh at.

As for the men.

You can see if they are 'ugly' whether or not they are in a towel or in clothes and you will dam well see if they are 'fat' as well.

The only difference is, they may have a belt holding up their trousers whilst sucking their stomachs in, rather than just a towel.

You still get naked at a dress club..... or am I missing the point that in these 'dress' clubs, you shag with your clothes on?

Getting back to what guys can wear, the reason I probably wouldn`t like a club like Extasia for instance, is that I have little fashion sense and I seldom go anywhere to justify having "nice" clothes. My existing wardrobe would leave me so self concious in most club/social situations, so the system at Chams suits me just fine!

Chameleons is a WET club. 2 Jacuzzi's on the ground floor, steam room on the first floor and a sauna on the second floor. Therefore, where ever you go, there is what is deemed as a wet room and only towels are allowed (for obvious reasons)

Unlike alot of dress clubs, every single person who goes into chameleons gets a locker and they get to keep the key.

No worrying about where your clothes go when you want to have sex, no worrying about carrying money or if anyone is going to pinch your wallet, no worrying about having a blokey in the corner, wanking into ya best dress when you've taken it off and folded it into a nice neat pile. You pay at the end of the night on your way out, no worries about money or whether or not you have the right change for the condom machine, its all available behind the bar.

It's like I don't get how anyone can walk around a club, fully clothed, with their purse, make up, condoms, lube, credit card, jewellery and an expensive dress and NOT worry about whats going to happen to them when they eventually get undressed and where they are going to put said items.

I also don't get how people who are after NSA sex, in a club, where it is usually hot, sweaty and rampant, can find a bloke hopping about with his kegs down to his knees, trying to get his socks off, whilst holding a condom in between his teeth... sexy.

Each to their own I suppose.

We have only been to a small number of clubs, and in those the guys just wore jeans and a shirt, nothing flashy. So other than a few nice shirts, i haven't felt the need to expand my wardrobe and never felt judged on what i was wearing.

I had thought about going to Chams at one point, but the more i hear about it, the more i think we will give that one a miss.

I have seenmen dressed in swinging gear in there and not on social nights, so it isn't as restrictive as you may think.

Neither is it a nightclub, but there are places like that, if thats what you prefer.

It is down to personal choice, no one is forcing anyone to go there, but like ANY club it has its rules, which is just tough if you don't choose to follow them, I guess!

I can understand that some guys want to dress up, as the ladies can do. I couldnt go to a club if I just had to wear a towel, I have to preen about myself, but as Chams is not set up for that and other clubs in the country are, then obviously its not going to suit everyone.

I like Abfabs too, I like the feel of trousers and shirts against my skin if Im naked. Theres something so incredibly sexy and filthy about forcing my man down and just getting his cock out of his smart trousers and sitting astride him. Or being naked and sat on a guys lap who is fully dressed.

But the thing I like about Chams is that its so much more convenient. You can more or less see what the guy is going to offer you in relation to size, if hes just wearing a towel. With a fully clothed guy you take your chances dont you, and wait til you get him in a compromising position and just hope that he is 8 inches instead of 3. (Not that im a size queen of course ).

I would not feel comfortable in a club where I am being judged by my attire.

I do not like to wear my formal jewellery going to a club when I have to take them off in order to play (I would normally only wear a pair of earrings when I play), and worry about them being lost/stolen/etc...

To me, Chams is great in that it removed the barriers that can be created by clothing, accessories and jewellery.

Some still try to outdo others though, however, they are not the ones I mix with, as I prefer the company of easy-going peeps rather than peacocks and alphas.

i do understand what you mean

i remember the first time i went feeling very put out by the fact people was walking around in underwar and towels, i felt it sounded very seedy and thought id look a right twat lol

but to be honest once your in there, because everyones wearing the same you dont feel daft or out of place at all, infact your feel more uncomfy and out of place walking around dressed

i have been to clubs where people stay dressed and to be honest i dont like it

i remember being at one club and playing in a room and looking up to see 4 or 5 fully dressed guys, one even still had his coat on, stood watching

now i dont mind guys watching at all but when im naked and playing on a bed i find it very intimidating and quite off putting to find fully dressed people in the room watching

in the club where people wear towels etc everyone is on the same level and i just find it 'softer' and more comfy to be watched and touched by people who are also undressed rather than guys stood about with their coats on

Yes I agree about the vulnerability aspect of some remaining dressed and others undressed. There's a time and place for those sexy scenarios but it is definitely more comfortable when people are naked or nearly maked,

I also do understand that it removes individuality for men. I dress in a colourful way in the real world, so I am not going to resort to towels in a club as that isn't me and I wouldn't enjoy myself, so I understand where some men are coming from. People shouldn't feel threatened by me or feel that I'm trying to 'outdo them' I am merely being me.

But men aren't able to express individuality at chams as much, they could obviously wear leather shorts or colourful boxers but if they want to wear a full outfit then wait for the themed party nights.

"the male dress code is the one overriding factor for me having no desire whatsoever to go to Chams.

i do understand what you mean

i remember the first time i went feeling very put out by the fact people was walking around in underwar and towels, i felt it sounded very seedy and thought id look a right twat lol

but to be honest once your in there, because everyones wearing the same you dont feel daft or out of place at all, infact your feel more uncomfy and out of place walking around dressed"

Our first night there we were really worried about it, but by the end of the night as people started to leave it actually felt weird seeing people in clothes.

I'm sure others may agree you feel most conscious walking in fully clothed than you ever do in a towel.

Meant to say though, Kate does love to dress up for the first half of the evening but it comes off at some point... And then we'll both be in towels for the last hour or so jacuzzi/ room hopping.
