why has people been verified when it not them in pictures

i have met people off fab and it has not been them who is in the pictures yet these same people have been photo verified i don't understand why that is |

Maybe it’s because you can be photo verified without showing your face? Or maybe the photos on the profile weren’t compared? Not sure how the system works, either way there’s a report button on profiles to report fake profiles/pics |

I have also wondered, how can people be photo verified when they have no other photos to compare them to?
Perhaps the only way to be sure it's actually them is to ask to see the pic they took with their username in the photo...
I'm curious to know what happened when you met these people who were totally different to the ones in the pic. What did you do? |

It is possible, of course, to have photo's in your private gallery, which can be compared.
Under this new system, you can't tell if there are are others, unless you are Friends...

I was chatting to a guy a few weeks ago that have been verified by a meet, turns out that he had never met this single female but she had said to him 'You wont get anywhere on her with out a verification' WTF!!! he even told who it was (best not to name and shame) but i think its disgraceful when a genuine single female is giving out verifications willy nilly.
ISNT OUR SAFETY IMPORTANT!! |

I have heard something similar and from the NW area too. I have to admit I doubted the story at the time, but maybe there is no smoke without fire.
I understood that photos will be compared by admin with those on the profile before being verified. But I guess all the photos are fake in these cases.
If you have met someone who is using fake photos I hope you are planning to report the profile?

If anyone thinks someone is faking or in some way cheating the system, then please talk about it here if you wish [without naming of course] ...but also report the profile.

No system operated by humans, swing site verification systems included, is ever going to be infallible. That said, we think it speaks volumes that of all the sites we have tried, it is most often the truly free ones (like this) that at least make a real attempt to offer members a verification facility, whereas in our experience it is mostly pricey sites which invariably pay lip service at best to ing out fakes.
A verification system should be recognised for what it is - assistance to members; not an absolute guarantee.
It is important to look at the whole picture too: verifications, a friends' list (that isn't ridiculously long!), feedback etc. It's an overall sum total.
On a closely related point, we have also found that it is invariably free sites like this that allow users to hide their profiles if they want to take time out from playing (as we currently need to) as opposed to being forced to pay through the nose for the privilege of NOT using the site for a bit! Furthermore, many pay sites make no attempt whatsoever to remove fake or disused profiles (perhaps because by not doing so they "magically" increase their claimed membership numbers?) One has to wonder how many of those mails that go forever unanswered/unread were sent to "ghost" / "shill" accounts?
We say kudos to the fabswingers administrators for all the active management of the site - all for free! |

I though the new way (Photo, with you hold up the site name and profile name) pretty much eliminates being able to use someone else's photo, but no system is fool proof.

What I don't understand though is this : If you don't want to show your face, post a full length nude shot instead.
Now how the Hell does that verify someone ? What do you do here, count the wrinkles in the guy's forskin ?

I was mailed by George Clooney the other night, after picking my self up off the floor and thanking my lucky stars..it dawned on me......Its not actually Mr Clooney just his pic.
I was so cross I spilt my wine, which made me even crosser thus I had to report the profile (which was removed pretty quickly). so it's good to know that when we do spot "fakers" action is taking.
Oooooh and if anyone does spot the REAL George could they pass him my way?.....Mmmmm we can but wish eh |

lol this is true, mainly because we are one of those people lol
We are on another site with a different name what was relevant to where we lived at the time.
We moved but kept the name anyway as most people in chat knew us as that name........so yes, guilty of having two different names which suggest different areas with the same pics  |

we verified with a face photo thinking its the best way to be honest as we are new to the scene but we have aleady had problems with people not thinking we are genuine its difficult to make others trust us |

ohhhhhhhhhhh you can't beat a good old verification hehe... joking aside like i have said before if someone shows an interest we always read profile thoroughly and check to see if they have been verified. And if we know someone is about to meet same person we have then at least we can say, check verifications, and also that we have actually met in person. Phone verifications could be dodgy i suppose anyone can say they are anyone.

I find it strange that a lot of new women with no photos are being verified on their first day on this site, leads me to believe they are men pretendingh to be women.
It took me ages to get verified and I have numerous face pics on my profile both private and public.

Remember thats its not that hard to become verified, you can go on cam and asked to be verified by Cam, you can send in a photo for verifying, these two can be done within a day.
....besides the verified by phone and eventualy by meeting
