Is it wrong to ask for verification?

Same as this site's photo verification. So a pic of the couple with a bit of paper with their name and today's date on. Don't even have to show faces, just prov there a couple and not a single guy pretending to be a couple as seems to be the norm |

Yeah soon as we do this or ask for any kind of proof that the couple were talking to are a couple (and not just a single guy pretending to be a couple) they just disappear |

It’s not wrong to ask but it’s not a hoop I’d be prepared to jump though, not having already got both site photo and user veris.
Perhaps set your filters so only verified users can message, if you’ve not already done so. It’s not infallible but might give you a level of greater confidence perhaps. |

Sorry should have been clearer in my op. I ment more on other sites like reddit. It's a bit different on here given they have a proper verification process |

We've asked people to do it in the past and it's never caused an issue.
Everyone on here knows there's a real issue of fake accounts, so a verifying picture isn't asking for much.
I remember asking a couple for a picture holding a spoon lol. |

We don't live together so you'd have to wait a while for us to send a veri pic like that. But tbh we'd hope that people can see from our pics & veris that we are genuine.
We're happy to set up a group chat so that we can all chat at the same time. In fact we prefer this as it's easier to know who is chatting.

There's a few things you can do on here but as said it's filled with fakes, flakes and dreamers.
Only Messages from:-
verified users (fab vefified)
Couples who pay for membership.
Photos on their profile.
Only couples(if you only want couples of course)
Couples who have veris from other couples.
This really does get rid of a lot of nonsense.
We also don't bother when people hide their verifications because they say a lot about you. People can create a number of fake accounts that verify each account so always read them.
We never attempt to meet anyone on Reddit as it's totally free and the time we waste on here with people who pay for an account would mean the possibility of meeting someone from Reddit is simply not worth the effort you'd have to put in.
We generally check peoples profile on here and if it's genuine and ticks all the boxes we exchange face pics... and then they block us! |

There's enough veris on this and my couples profile to prove I/we exist. The whole 'proof of life' style thing where you have to send a photo with a piece of paper, or with you holding a banana or a copy of yesterday's newspaper is a bit cringe to me, when it's quite easy to hop on any one of a number of chat apps and have a live call or quick cam session with someone if they doubt your existence.
There are enough well verified profiles that I have 100% confidence in to not worry about any hoop jumping with total strangers on the Internet. |

We wouldn’t be sending you a pic with the date written on it as we have several verifications and are site verified. Maybe set filters so only those who are photo verified can message you.
Yes there are a lot of fakes out there but the filters should help them out a little.

I think a few ppl have miss understood/ I wasn't clear enough at the start. I was talking more generally on other sites like reddit. No problem here bc obviously you just talk to ppl who are verified.
Hard getting started bc were new on here but hopefully be worth it in the end |

Honestly we would just offer the picture we uploaded to Fab to become photo verified. It wouldn't have today's date on.
Not because we're scammers or any nonsense. We're just a little lazy and not going to put much effort in for people we haven't spoken to. |

It's not at all an unreasonable request. I'm sure many genuine people on here totally understand the request. At the end of the day you want to prevent your time being wasted and improve your safety. We all take the measures we see fit and this isn't unreasonable. Personally if we were genuinely intrested in a couple we would be happy to do this for them.
However there is a lot of potential choice out there. Yes some people not doing this may be fakes. However some others may just find this off putting or not be invested enough in you to make that effort. Just like it's perfectly fine to request, it's also perfectly fine to check out because of that request.

I disagree. I have never done a video call yet I am genuine and frequently meet. I have only ever done one phone call for an invitation to a house party. Nothing else, ever, other than turning up to meet as agreed. |

It's totally fine to ask people validate themselves, to your satisfaction and standards. It's good common sense to want to be certain that people are who they claim to be, to be more certain that you're not wasting your time and energy. You'll probably find some may be deceitful, others who just will not agree with your ideas but this just helps to filter people out, to your preferences. People can, for example, video chat, in Fab chat rooms, if they won't give out their phone number. 1 or 2 minutes of their time is all that's needed, to validate their identity claims. |

if your talking about swingers here or elsewhere i can tell you that most will not do phone calls/cams/video calls or any app when fab or the site they are on works perfectly well i wont and dont yet i do very well |

I'll give them the option of where they want to do it.
Over the past 9 years I've been on this site, I've had more than a handful of potential meets (that had verifications), both couples and single ladies just end up with me about to and already having left my house and then getting ghosted.

I can understand why people want verifying, it adds to the bigger picture of being a genuine profile/person.
However, some people may wish to have verificaitons private, maybe because they have many!
I think way too much emphasis is put on being verified and I don't think cam verification should be a thing. It should be only in person meets than are verified.
As a single guy, I haven't met anyone on the site but verifications aren't something I even consider. Does the woman have a nice figure yes, veficiations no.
Maybe its a guy thing!
