Because they aren't interested, no reply means no thank you
Actually messaging back saying no thank you let's that person forever override your filters not to mention will usually lead to either abuse or the other person trying to change your mind which is why no reply is best |

I was nice/polite to so many people that my filters didn’t really work anymore, as so many could still re message. I actually went unlos and started again because of it. |

It has very little to do with being "picky". It's about having a reasonable expectation for politeness and moral standards.
For example, an unimaginative "txt" and accompanying cock photograph is hardly going to cut the mustard with the majority of sensible people on here. |
