What's the best way to spot these kind of people. I'd hazard a guess at incomplete and / or new, no photos / verified.

Unverified and not photo verified (although lots of genuine people aren’t so not fool proof)

They tend to talk the talk well but rarely do the walk

Unfortunately it's getting harder to spot them. I've come across a couple of profiles that are well verified and I found out through another platform that it was a fake. I'm not sure if it's something I can report to fab though when my proof is on another app.

Last one was begging it for my address, gave a postcode but nit house no. My suspicions were raised about 45 min before arranged time.

our view is, we trat everone as a fake until we have skyped or something with them, we do have good bullshit filters tho, so its not often we get to that point with them, its fairly easy to tell

From my experience on other sites the fake profiles include some or all of:

1)Impossibly gorgeous women who for some reason say they can't get any sex.

2)Same pic used across several new profiles.

3) Say things like "hit me up on ..."(a messaging app).

4) Say they are in Dagenham (for example) but seem to have a fabulous open plan house with American style power sockets and light switches).

5)All of a sudden a lot of new profiles have the same location (Aldershot was a favourite last time I was active on other sites).

I have to say that I have found hardly any fake profiles here compared to other sites where (IMHO) up to 90% of the female profiles are fake. Those that I have seen here have disappeared within the hour.

Usually it is to get you chatting to them and then they will suggest you go to a website if you want to see more pics/cam of them. Said website will request credit card for "verification"...

They’re ridiculously common

The one thing that one make this site instantly 6% better would be requiring photo verification before the ability to read or send messages, and perhaps no photo uploads without it too.

Meet/webcam verification means nothing- some will promise a photo or something in return for a fake verification.

It's certainly frustrating, as a newbie unverified so far I was hopeful of getting the 1st one on my profile. Been let down twice so far.

Lots of people won't even entertain an unverified profile.

I have found that the people who ask for more pictures tend to never meet. It makes sense, those who need pictures are busy wanking and don't need you once the orgasm happens. Those who are so horny they don't care what you look like, are much more likely to actually go through with it. I have had plenty of good meets using this as a rule of thumb.

Interestingly, the number of messages don't really matter. Some hate typing and others just communicate more.

Yes exactly, we can remain fairly annoymous on Kik as in it's not linked to your phone number. The reason I choose Kik is because of the live photo feature...for those who don't know & I'm surprised how many didn't... When it says camera under a pic sent on Kik it's live & when it doesn't say camera under a pic it's from storage.

As I said some just refuse to download Kik & some who have it just won't send a live pic

So they're defo hiding something...

When I rejoined the site a couple of months ago, I had to complete photo verification before being able to proceed to even filling out profile text.

Not sure if this is required of all new users but I got tge impression that site owners are trying to tackle the situation

We like to use the cam chat rooms on here to verify the person(s) are who they say they are, if its a couple we ask for both to be present.

As a general rule we tend to avoid:-

Couples / female profiles over a few months old without a few decent verifications.

Lack of bio or overly "slutty" sounding bios.

Single pic profiles that look like they could have come off facebook.

Instant vulgar conversation

People asking for more pics.

If in doubt, get them on web cam or to send live snaps via snapchat. It all takes a minute.

Most people won't be matched, so starting with realistic expectations helps. Take things slowly - the problem people will often disappear.

As you gain experience, you will acquire greater abilities to sense things are not right. It is perhaps more of a problem for people looking for women.

Snapchat is an option then - you take a live photo, send it and once they seen it will be deleted. You will also know if they save or screenshot it, snap tells you. That might be bit more comfortable for you than web camming

We used to trust that veried meant they were genuine, now it doesn’t mean that much as the fakes are often verified too! I think you just get used to the patterns the fakes use! But def agree with what everyone else has said. Fakes and the time wasters who have no intention of meeting will always find their way on here, it’s frustrating, there’s a lot of idiots in daily life too, so I guess we just have to suss them out and move on! Always get them and getting harder to spot as well !! we are pretty sure we are 100% Genuine and Mrs4 eats all my biscuits and dunks them in MY tea ?? but we don't fit in to quite a few of the box's most have suggested so we'd be firmly put in the "Timewasters/fake etc etc " box ??so sadly Mrs4 will have reside in my rather overworked and fevered imagination awhile longer ...A real Slim Bi fem who likes Fems and not ...also likes the feel of a younger male ..on here ..deeply shocking ! and even more shocking and disgusting we've actually done the dirty naughty deed or deeds or did we ?? xxx

Once you've been on here (or any similar site) a while you start to spot the pattern. Easy give-aways are the 'posey' photos that look like they've been taken from social media, or 18-year olds who live in somewhere grim but all their pictures are on sunny beaches, every car in the background has a foreign number plate, not a single UK-style plug socket or light switch in sight. As always, if it sounds too good to be true...

I agree with the possible inclusion of a 5 day grace period between signing in and being kicked off for not veryfying.

Hmmm true in part. All of my photos and videos have come directly from my social media (and jobs I’ve recently done) I also like a nice beach shot.

What's a time waster? We've been called that a few times by guys here who thought sending a quick one liner to us and then being ignored amounted to us being time wasters. We've even been called timesasters for not meeting anyone in the last 2 years during the pandemic.

Can't speak specifically for couples as we're not seeking them but there are plenty of time wasters here and amongst the worst are those guys who fire off endless winks, cocks shots and crass one liners then expect the offers to flood in.

Most fakes/timewasters just get off on talking dirty and wanking so avoiding engaging in that soon puts them off. Anyone looking to meet couples ought to ask to see or hear them both before doing so. That usually puts of those guys posing as couples (or even posing as females).

Years ago we had a guy turn up to a meeting who'd put on about 4 stone since his profile picture was taken. We didn't recognise him at first. Since then we've never met a guy we haven't a) seen on cam first and b) shown ourselves to.

Exactly this. I'm always happy to let potential friends and playmates have my number so they can ring or video call me to be sure I'm genuine. I'll also go on cam if requested.

I can also be contacted on WhattsApp, Kik and Twitter.

It's also a good way to sort the real swingers from the bullshitters and wannabes.

I appreciate people have a list of hoops they like people to jump through before they'll believe someone isn't fake. But I won't jump through any of them. I'm not photo verified and don't really care if people believe I'm real or not. But then again I never make the first contact. If someone messages me that I like the look of, I swap face pictures and if there's mutual attraction then I'll arrange a social meet pretty quickly. I won't be doing live photos or cam though and if someone won't meet me because of this then it's their loss. Doesn't make me a time waster. Time wasters to me are the people who read my profile and see they're not suitable but still message me. Or of course the ones who don't even bother to read my profile but still message or send friend requests with no prior contact. Makes me laugh though when I'm called a time waster for simply saying no thanks
