Looking for some ideas for a nice hotel somewhere in scotland to book for sat night and whisk the gorgeous Quirkygirl off for a filthy weekend... want a touch of decadence but without needing a mortgage to pay for it... maybe £100-£150 for the night?.... any inspiration would be much appreciated |

Best hotel in Aberdeen would be the Carmelite... Gorgeous rooms. really really gorgeous rooms. Right at the heart of the Merchant Quarter. Though think Aberdeen might be a trek, and the rooms are expensive. |

try the secret hotel option on last minute.com, pick a city and just go for it. we have stayed in some extraordinary places from 4/5/5+ hotels for a fraction of the cost. |

Just spent the weekend in The Royal Terrace in Edinburger can't reccommend it highly enough £198.00 two nights bed and breakfast with dinner included one night (food was fantastic). Room was lovely, plenty parking and situated just off Princess Street.
Enjoy wherever you go.

i have stayed at some really nice hotels in Edinburgh while with my ex.
Sheraton Grand Hotel - very nice, posh room, but nothing exclusive about it.
Le Monde Hotel - very cool, TV in the bath, was a good experience, rooms are themed on different cities from around the world.
The George Hotel - Nice, Posh but nothing exclusive about it.
Nira Caledonia - Jacuzzi Suite, Amazing, would highly recommend. Jacuzzi in the room, own garden, ask for room 1003 when booking.
The Rutland Hotel - Jacuzzi Suite, was also amazing but Nira Caledonia is better.
Hotel Du Vin - Dom Perignon Suite - Another memorable experience, would highly recommend.
The Carlton Hotel - Nothing Special
The King James Hotel - Nothing Special
Travelodge - Not Recommended lol

Keep an eye out on laterooms.com I got 2 nights at the Dalmeny Park Country House in Barrhead (Only £12 taxi to Glasgow city centre) for £65 per night bed and breakfast instead of £295. It was advertised as romantic break and had a great room with four poster bed (made the tieing up a lot easier!! Lol), jacuzzi, fruit and chocs!!!
Drinks were expensive but took own champers and as I say only £12 door to door to Glasgow city centre (which was the cost of a round at the hotel!!) so we headed to Glasgow for the night. |

Well folks, We ended up staying in the Le Monde Hotel on George street in Edinburgh, WOW!! Beautiful hotel, staff were very helpful and the 'Moscow' room was gorgeous! Also there was no problem with us having guests in the room till 3am and they were all too happy to deliver drinks up to the room for us
Highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking to splash out a little on a nice hotel... the room comes with complimentary free entry to the VIP section in the Shanghai Club which is adjoined to the hotel. Plus it is only 3 doors up from The Dome (very nice bar to go grab some drinks and socialise)
All in all.... a fantastic weekend and in addition to having the gorgeous Quirkygirl with me we also had some great company.
Not to mention the room had an entire wall that was cushioned, a peek through window from the bed to the shower and seemed relatively soundproof. I can only imagine it was as i managed to break my crop yet we didnt have any complaints from the hotel |
