commander data from STTNG is my best character ever, asking profound questions about what it would be like to be a machine, and of course what it means to be human(or any other biological sentient species) |

It's a no brainer. Star Trek always - and by that I mean TOS and not all the lame spin-offs. Apart from the new ones with the characters as young boldly-goers. These are BRILLIANT.
That's my opinion and I'm unanimous in it. |

Being from the Original Star Wars generation born in the early 1970s I would have to say Satr Wars without a doubt. However I do have a special place in my heart for Star trek too...
Both allow my imagination to run riot and have played a serious influence in me writing my first novel... |

"What do Captain Kirk and Andrex have in common?
They both attack the Klingons.
BOOM BOOM. Mr Derek"
Funnier when you get the punchline right: They both wipe out Klingons. |

Size matters not. Look at me. Judge me by my size, do you? Hmm? Hmm. And well you should not. For my ally is the Force, and a powerful ally it is. Life creates it, makes it grow. Its energy surrounds us and binds us. Luminous beings are we, not this crude matter. You must feel the Force around you; here, between you, me, the tree, the rock, everywhere, yes. Even between the land and the ship. |

Its logical - Star Wars all the way, no comparison in the 2.
Star Trek films pretty much all sucked beyond belief in my opinion.
Princess Leia as a slave ooft |

I've probably watched almost everything scifi'ly possible to be honest.
even albert einstein had a part in star trek the next generation, before he died.
true story |

Albert Einstein died 32 years before Star Trek:TNG aired...
Stephen Hawking, however did appear in it, and is a lifelong Star Trek fan. |

Started off with short skirts in the TNG? Only reason i know that, it was on Wednesday same as the news
So is this turning into a scifi thread with
Firefly
Space above & beyond
B5
BSG old & reimagined
Tales from the traveling Timelord
Alien quintilogy
IS Buffy scifi or vampfi
Not forgeting the classic, The Outer limits took ages to watch both box sets

current scifi watch list:
continuum
the 100
almost human
revolution
walking dead
these are more what I call science fiction, as they dont have things like 'magic' in them really... things like buffy etc, are fantasy(though buffy did have the occasional scifi leanings because it involved the secret military world) |
