Hi running is the best way to get the weight off, this coupled with healthy eating and reducing alcohol intake works. Plus no crazy diets required.

Swimming is also good, if thats any help.

Diets dont work. Lifestyle changes do. Just reduce everything you take in, gradually over time ( six months min ) cut out the crap but treat yourself on occasion and up your exercise rate. Just walking, using stairs, etc.

Lots of wee things add up to a big difference in time.....

I totally agree with this advice... I went from 20 stone to 11.5 stone in two years with proper eating and good old fashioned walking topped up with five specific yoga moves that burn the calories right off you... If you want to know more I would gladly assist just mail me and we can chat.

Hi Dita,if you have suffered recent health probs, swimming is a good start, works all the major muscle groups, good cardiovascular and most importantly it puts little stress on the body due to being in water.Like zumba there are various pool based workouts, its a good calorie burner but not the best, really depends on overall health as to how hard to train. But the simplest is a healthy diet, training only tends to bring results if combined with a good diet.Hope this helps

its simple ,just reduce portion size and whatever workouts your health allows

I do 4 RPM/Spinning sessions a week. Puts less stress on joints etc than running. Means you can eat and drink as much as you like and still loose inches of yer waist(though obviously healthy eating advised). Also meet women in lycra!

I feel as if I need to loose about a stone/stone and half, I know it's not much,

I do work a physical/heavy job which helps keep the weight off.

I intend to make more of an effort this year by jogging and cycling regulary (still like to walk)

Also have decided to cut down dramatically on the booze, as I was drinking regulary beer/red wine and getting d*unk during days off. To the point where family were worrying about me etc.

If you haven't done much exercise for a while just walking is great if you have the time to go for a decent walk. You'd be amazed how much weight you'll lose if you can have a walk for about an hour a day xxx

I do walk I think that's has contributed to my slight weight loss finding it a bit difficult now as when I walk for 10 Mims I feel light headed I do wonder if this was maybe to do with the fact I was bed bound for a week and my body wasn't used to it lol

Zumba can be hard work esp if health issues. Pilates or yoga might be better to start with. Aquarobics might be good for you as the water acts as natural resistance. Walking, or if you can get skipping ropes in your house or a hula hoop. Make it fun. Do step in your house (couple of bricks and a bit of wood if you live in a flat) with your tunes on and a tin of beans in each hand as weights.

I lost 4 stone in a year but I wouldn't recommend what I did, apart from the pole dancing bit.
