So I was just sitting there the other day typing away in chat when boom those creepy words came up on my screen (I saw you) I then pm'd the guy asking where so he told me. He was right it was me now I don't mind if people see me or recognise me as I do have face pics on my public images what does bug my happiness is when they advertise it with other local ppeople in my area where I've been and where I shop also I would much prefer it if someone would come up to me and drop hints that they are from fab although I did have a laugh about it as I looked a chav that day

What's your views on this and how would you respond??

wouldnt really be happy if someone approached me on a night out or when doing any day to day stuff. no probs if someone messaged me here afterwards though so long as they had what seemed a genuine profile and not just a silhouette profile pic and no verifications. that would have me paranoid

Take it as a compliment, you clearly stand out from the crowd

but you're right he could and should have been more discreet.

In a crisp poke on the A814

Unless I had already met and spoken with them....

I would not be impressed!

As for mailing me on here and saying it, from someone I had never contacted before,I would simply delete the message!

If they say they will come to the shop where I work, I give them a nickname to call me, that way I defo know where they are from,

Yeah that's a fair point that I think the only reason why I say I would be ok being approached was if I was on my own.

I had another guy message me saying I saw you in asdas with two kids that made me freak out.

It creeps me out. I've had a couple of people seen me on a night out, two of them actually joined in on my conversations, not mentioning they were from here at all. Only once they had left did I get a message on here saying it was 'nice to meet you etc' it is fucking creepy!!

I don't mind if you see me then send a message but don't come and talk to me like you've never seen my bits before...

Creepy as hell... I would freak probably and I am a 42 year old ex royal marine!

Dealing with it... Ignore imediatly and deny that you were in the area once politely... "Yeah i have been in that area, but not on the day that you mentioned" No big fuss no big deal from the sender.

Or if all else fails... I have a phone number of some folk that can make people disappear...(Paul Danial and Debbie McGee!)

Come down to Edinburgh for a wee holiday to get away from it all my lady... Happily look after you while you were here... xxx

It has also happened to us. I am pretty sure however the guy was making it up for some reason.

I got the feeling he was trying to pick up some info about where Mrs J works/lives or parties.

We gave nothing away but it is definitely creepy.

If it happened to me the way you describe itd be delete and block!!! If anyone happens to recognise me in a public place I would appriecate a mail saying "Im currently in 'Spoons having a drink and I think Ive just seen you at the bar. Thought Id say hi this way rather than just drop hints and possibly embarress you. Would you like to join me?." To this message I would either denigh it was me or decline politely depending on the profile.

We almost all have smart phones with constant access to here if we want it (am currently on the 900 from glasgow to edinburgh using my phone) so there is very little need for stalkerish behaviour after the fact messages, when we can send a mail instantly.

Have had that happen to me too, its a bit weird but not that bad. My tattoos make it easy to recognise me by those i chat to, which is why i only show certain pics.

If someone came up to me to chat when i was with others i wouldnt be impressed. Dont think it'll ever happen as im too scary looking apparently lol

Lx

Aye right - ye dinnae scare me....Much

I'm in a wee town so I would probably get a wee bit annoyed once upon a time. Nowadays I seriously couldn't give a fuck, unless she was really cute

We've been out on a sat night, ended up in soul casino with friends and had a guy from here try and strike up a conversation with the mrs, very awkward!

Another time was when mrs rai was in a club when a guy starting speaking to her for a bit. It took her a while to clock that it was a guy we had been chatting to on here. She was taken aback a bit.

But I don't think she minded too much as she thought he was really hot! Haha

I only venture out of the bat cave on special occasions. I'm barely a household name in my own household so I reckon the.glare of recognition is unlikely.....
