I know it’s been said many times before, but it’s so frustrating, just be an adult… I get the no reply if there has been no conversation, but just to disappear mid chat… rant over lol

Have you actually met them. Had some kind of relationship. If not it's not ghosting. It's changing their mind

It’s got nothing to do with relationship or meeting, you would never just walk away from chatting to someone mid conversation, nor hang up on a phone call etc, it’s just childish

Interesting that you know what others wouldn't do.....not surprised you're being ignored with that attitude!

Interesting comment, so if you were chatting to someone in social setting irl you would just walk away mid conversation? Have you had this done to you often?

Also, I’m not sure at what point just general manners and social etiquette becomes ‘an attitude problem’

Sometimes it's not intentional ghosting. I delete my messages at the end of the night and feel if someone is having a legitimate conversation they will continue it when they are back online.

Sometimes I log back in and get a vile response saying.. ohh you deleted messages you cunt, fat fucker or whatever other slag comment etc....so I take it as a blessing that they assumed

I get the last comment, I wouldn’t respond either, just meant in a normal chat exchange etc

Maybe life got in the way, maybe it seemed like you weren't that bothered, maybe the conversation had turned into a cul-de-sac...

I've had various conversations fizzle out for one reason or another, interpreting it as ghosting seems a bit melodramatic though.

That’s my point, it’s during an exchange, wasn’t even just a hi, was an establish conversation

Yes there are various reasons, but mid way through an exchange, I sent to further messages, they were read and deleted. It’s not being melodramatic, what would be wrong with just saying thanks, but no longer interested, just normal human decency, melodramatic would be demanding a full and concise response detailing why, I’m just asking for a bit of closure or a full stop
