I was on my phone looking on fab and had a browse and found there were 3 peeps online who lived within a mile of me, or their location was a mile from me.
I don't really contact any near as most people from my experience on fab make it known they don't want to meet anyone who lives very close by, meaning within a mile of so.
So what's your view, would you meet a single or couple who lived within a few miles of you? |

"Fastest blocked ever lol "
Could have been a good last min meet. And he probably knew it was you tbh. I have a couple of people close to me and I know exactly who they are but what happens on fab stays on fab |

I used to hace a weekly meet up with a lady fabber who lived a few streets away. We were both very discrete so was need get a problem. It went on for a few years until I moved away an vs no one ever knew. If we bumped in to each other in tesco or something, we just chatted as normal. |

Reddit? Always thought they were fake "
Yeah so did I but turns out they were genuine |

I used to be the same, didn’t meet anyone close to me. I’d still get messages from people who’d seen me in the local supermarket.
I used to have a weekly coffee social meet up in Paisley for Fabbers. I was asked out for lunch with a guy who ended up living just over a mile from me. We’re now in a relationship and have been for over a year. It’s actually proven to be an advantage staying so near to each other. |

Fantastic
Swinging has changed a lot in the last 10 years and is definitely more open than it used to be and with that peoples views have changed but in realty it also depends on the individual and their views, circumstances etc..
Me personally I've met people close by, even a mile away and further away and to be honest I'm not too bothered, more interested in the person if they interest/excite me |

It’s a complicated one. From a small village where everyone wants to know your business I would say no. But when I’m down in Glasgow where no one knows me, I say fair game |

I met someone off here years ago who lived in the next street and we were together a year. Would be wary doing it again though. Especially as a parent and not feeling comfortable with people knowing where I live. |

Yeah can imagine. We do all learn from past experiences |

I used to meet a guy who lived literally across the road from me. Was very convenient and I can’t deny that we both used to quite like bumping into each other in the street out with a meet and having a very chaste blether.
He’s since moved (nothing to do with me!). |

I suppose it would depend on what kind of dynamic you want, being close is handy if you can only do last minute type meets I suppose, and slightly further away if you prefer to maintain a sperate life away from meets. |

There’s a couple of men who live very near within minutes walks. They have messaged but never showed their face . Most in my town block me from seeing their profile, probably homophobic and saves me doing it.
Ideally if someone was that close it would be worth a chance |

Or maybe they just don't want to meet you. Doesn't mean someone is homophonic because they block you. Lots use the block as a filter |

Why not? I quite enjoy finding who's nearby. Had some great fun this way finding people on hotels I am staying at.
Shame that 'within a quarter of a mile' is quite often much further though in reality as it's as the crow flies. |
