"Got back into hill/munro walking!
Anybody else interested in that?"
I’d be up for that, but I’d end up not interested in the walking part…..!!!!!
I’d be too interested in finding a sneaky spot to get naked LOL |

Haven't stopped all winter - some cracking days out...
Heading now for my 200th Munro in the next month or so, on top of basically every significant peak in Lakes, North Wales, Derbyshire and Pennines.. |

Going to do the Picos in Spain this year. Usually go away for at least a week in the Highlands every year, hillwalking can be good fun and it's good for the mind. Just fancy a hike in some sunny weather this year. |

"I'd like to do it . I don't think I'll be very good . I hate walking up hills but am very keen to try ! "
Once you get to the top it’s a great feeling, just take it easy and don’t do anything strenuous. |

Just don the boots and away you go, who’s not good at walking? Build up your stamina slowly. You’ll get there. |

We were happy enough just reaching the peaks. No need for heroics, especially with tired legs! |

You don’t get any prizes for being a hero. |

We love hillwalking and discovering new Munros, usually between April and September. Reading this thread though makes us wonder if we’ve passed by or even chatted to fellow walkers who share our other passion. |

Likewise, I’d love to tag along if anyone is heading out.
I’ve done a few over the years. Looking to start taking a more active interest in going new places, been up Ben Lomond a few times as well as the cobbler.
Can’t think of a better way to get fit, apart from the obvious |

"What a glorious day for the hills!"
There's been a couple recently - although I'm really looking forward to the warmer days this year.
I'm hoping to get the last few 'oop north' and the last few out west this year. |

I've got down to 3 layers now it's an improvement on the winter months. |

We’ve do a bit of hillwalking. Great exercise and a good day out. Regular hill walkers are usually in pretty good shape so next time we pass someone on a hill we will be wondering if they are on Fab |

"I definitely want to start that this year "
If your first time, depends on location, look for simplistic hillwalking areas to get you started and grow from there, cant tell you how it gripped me and I love it now.
Everyone needs to be respectful of what we have, Scottish hillwalking is amazing, walking in absolutely beautiful countryside and hills and mountains but can also be hard and dangerous especially if not prepared correctly.
I've done it for years and even I get caught out at times.
As I'm typing this I'm even thinking where I want to go next
Wishing everyone breathtaking times and memeories that will live forever |

Before you go hill walking get yourself a decent pair of boots and two pairs of socks.
If you feel unsafe or you can’t complete the Munro. Turn back you can come back another day to try again.
Try Conic first at Balmaha. Nice big carpark so no issues parking. Conic gives you spectacular views of loch lommond. |

I've only done one, Ben Lomond, and was so unprepared and the weather was stunning but I got burnt. Would love to do another but that's properly delayed me trying again. A walking group would be fun though! |
