Where do you start:It’s a small house on main road, not enough lockers or seats, downstairs 3 rooms with plastic covered beds NO TOWELS, sauna steam room broken only 2 loos and most folks stand outside smoking. And £5 to use their empty glass with you have your own drinks….

Shangri-la

It's a while since I've been to Kudos but certainly last time I was there it was fairly basic to say the least and was mostly single guys in there. If recent posts on here are anything to go by, it sounds like there are a lot more people attending their events and swingers nights these days, but unless they've majorly improved the facilities I'm not quite sure how they manage to accommodate everyone.

We've been thinking about trying it out but your review doesn't sound appealing. Were you there recently? I thought they served alcohol not just supplied a glass!?

Agree with the OP. We attended last night and won't be back. First time back at a club for a looong time, which we were both really looking forward to, but Kudos wasn't what we were expecting. Only plus of the night was meeting a few couples face to face that we've been chatting to and some others we'll be keeping in touch with.

Yes they do but not licensed not sure the drink prices!

They sell tickets for drinks (4 for £10), so they get round not being licenced that way....technically you're buying tickets and not drinks...

Personally I’ve been several times and there’s always been an abundance of towels available, there’s more than just three rooms downstairs, 3 lockable rooms and 3 open play areas,

because alcohol is being consumed the sauna etc are off limits(H&S nightmare otherwise)

Lots of places charge corkage if you’re bringing your own alcohol, some

Down south charge you for soft drinks to put in your alcohol you are expected to use their soft drinks at £1 a can !

All clubs tend to Start in small venues and only once they have continued business and support they are able to Expand and grow

I’m BIAS towards CJs it’s my regular haunt but i love my visits to kudos as well

We have been to kudos a few times and I agree the place I below par compared to other clubs however its always the ppl that make it 4 u it's been getting more busy and it's a good night due to the people I'm sure when it's more stable in the community u will see better upgrades not sure it wil ever be up to cjs level in terms of what's on offer but for folk in the fife and Tayside area it's nice to have an option

We have been thinking about attending Kudos. Haven't been to a club yet but I've certainly heard mixed reviews on this place. Doesn't sound overly appealing. Might have to try CJs instead

We were critical of Kudos in the beginning as there were too many red flags. However, the change of management and the fact that more people were attending had made us consider attending soon.

I've been to CJs, After8 and Aberdeen in my time here. I was hoping Kudos would be more like Aberdeen but it sounds more like After8 which I felt was too small and crowded.

We will attend at some point just to see what it's like, but it's disappointing that an event night like Valentines had problems. These are the nights that you hope will be great.

We'll keep checking feedback for now, I think.

Handy to know, thanks. At After8 I felt like I was sitting in someone's lounge being eyed up like cattle at a market!

We were there at the weekend too and yes it wasn’t for us

But given that saint Nicola has done her best to destroy any business in Scotland, in particular hospitality (and oil), i do wish this place well and hope that it can survive and improve

Scotland does need a club and it’s hard to compete with the bigger cities in England

Glasgow has CJs and After8 in Edinburgh are planning to reopen in a new venue last I heard. Its a shame there's nothing closer to you, quite a journey!

This club has struggled through the recent times to keep itself open for our enjoyment , its a relatively small club. Like any other business it would grow the more it is in demand the profess for entry are very competitive and they do whatever they can to keep it safe and comfortable obviously the more it gets used the better it will be able to cater for our needs it's a simple case of use or lose

Am I looking at the same venue??? I have been a few times and been very happy with results. Everything worked couple weeks ago . Guy in the sling, coupke going at it in a room ( loudly) which turned me on . And enough guys with cocks out r to keep me happy . Oh and a cup of coffee and a biscuit .

Also the gorgeous Jenny there to look after us .

No complaints

Beem to kudos regularly since it first opened and have always had a good night. Yes it is a smaller venue but its a new premises in time hopefully it will grow. Tiny acorns and all that. The night is made by the people that attend. The more you mingle with others in the club the better your evening will turn out.

I've never had a problem "mingling" with others, in any of the various clubs, parties or socials I have attended. I just found the whole place to be pretty awful. But each to their own I guess

Totally agree with OP.

Better off arranging meets and having nice hotel meet after.

Much cleaner and not smelling of musty wet plasterboard.

We visited the club last night for the 1st time, found the staff to be very welcoming, was very clean and plenty of towels and sundries. We certainly recommend the club and can’t wait to go back in the future.

Glad to hear a positive review, some folk just seem intent on trying to stir things up and cause trouble for no good reason it’s like the playground at times

Saying you didn't enjoy a club isnt exactly stirring things up happy for others if they enjoyed it. We can all have our own opinions

We attended and quickly decided it wasn't for us, felt very uncomfortable and didnt like the atmosphere at all. We did meet some lovely people tho, and I guess you'd really need to try it for yourself and decide.

We don’t get involved with any politics. We just wanted to leave a honest piece of feedback. We are happy for people to have their own opinions and we are certainly not wanting to change that.

Ownership and management are different things, and you already messaged me last week to ask this question. As I said then, if you want information on the club then you need to contact them.

I've never been to this club but your review made me curious, you say you met some lovely but quickly decided it wasn't for you so bit confused. What made you want to leave and what were you expecting that never met that expectation.

I think our original post explains we felt uncomfortable and we didnt enjoy the atmosphere. We didnt have any expectations, we have been to a few clubs now and each is very different but this is the only one we wouldn't go back to. Simple matter of personal opinion which is why I said people would need to try and decide for themself.

Edinburgh (She/Her)

Like any venue. They will have good and bad points. Good and bad days.

Promotion is everything.

Good promoters can make a bland venue look and feel amazing.

You ignore the decor and it faults because the night is full of enjoyment.

If you haven't been to a venue before. Go on a promoted night first. You get the rose tinted version and will always get a better first impression.

I don’t see What the problem is?? Why do you go to a sauna?? For the shower, the sauna, the hot tub? The coffee?

Well that’s not why I go, even though they are available and I use them .

I go to be with like minded people who are all after the same thing , and if I get lucky then great .

I have not had a bad experience at all in here .

But each to their own

Too far a trek for us to be bothered with potential hit or miss.

I’ve worked enough in Tayside and Dundee to know a couple of good places for a night out but Kudoss sounds pants so far
